Több halloweeni bulizót is előállítottak a sanghaji rendőrök – írja a Reuters. Bár hivatalosan senki nem tiltotta be a beöltözős ünneplést, tavaly akkora káosz keveredett belőle, hogy a hatóságok több fronton is megtorpedózták a Halloweent. Még a folyamatos eső is besegített nekik.
2023 októberében hatalmas, ünneplő tömeg özönlötte el a város nagyobb utcáit, és olyan jelmezekben voltak, amik a kínai tőzsdét, a fiatalok körében kifejezetten magas munkanélküliséget és a szigorú járványellenes intézkedéseket kritizálták.
Bár komolyabb atrocitás tavaly nem történt, a rendőrség október 26-a este nagyobb létszámban járőrözött a belvárosban, több gyülekezőt is feloszlattak, és a közösségi oldalakra több videó is felkerül arról, hogy előállítanak embereket, akikkel levetették és lemosatták a jelmezeiket és sminkjüket, és csak azután engedték el az érintetteket, miután azok regisztrálták a személyi igazolványukat és a telefonszámukat.
Egy étterem és bártulajdonos a Reutersnek azt mondta, hogy az önkormányzata arra kérte a helyi vendéglátóipari egységeket, hogy írjanak alá egy nyilatkozatot, amiben megígérték, hogy nem szerveznek halloweeni bulit vagy jelmezversenyt, hogy ezzel is védjék a közízlést és a közrendet.
Sok bulizó egy parkban gyűlt össze. Este tízig több rendőr is figyelte őket, de nem avatkoztak be, sőt, a BBC-nek az egyik résztvevő azt nyilatkozta, hogy szívesen nézték az újabb és újabb jelmezesek érkezését. Este tízkor aztán jött egy új rendőrcsoport, akik elzavarták a résztvevőket, és a maszkjaikat is levetették velük. Egy másik résztvevő megjegyezte, hogy szerinte több rendőrt vezényeltek ki igazoltatni, mint ahányan beöltöztek.
A Fudan Egyetem is írt a diákoknak, hogy ne vegyenek részt ilyen jellegű programokon. Egy diák a BBC-nek azt mondta, hogy vasárnap felhívták az egyetemtől, hogy elment-e este bulizni, mert ha igen, akkor nem árulhatja el, hogy az egyetemre jár. Más sanghaji egyetemek is hasonlóan megpróbálták lebeszélni hallgatóikat a halloweeni bulikról.

Megbüntették Kubában az állami zenei szervezetek hét tisztviselőjét, miután az általuk szervezett halloweeni partin egy Hitler-jelmez nyerte az első díjat – írja az AFP.
A Cuban Rock Agency igazgatóhelyettesét felmentették állásából, két másik kollégáját pedig kirúgták az október 28-án Havannában tartott halloweeni ünnepség miatt – közölte a Kubai Zenei Intézet pénteki sajtóközleményében. Az ügynökség igazgatója és a zenei intézet három vezető tisztviselője, akik „a kulturális programok jóváhagyásáért, értékeléséért és ellenőrzéséért voltak felelősek”, fegyelmit kaptak.
A kormánypárti Cuba Debate beszámolója szerint a náci vezér jelmeze hatalmas tapsvihar és ováció közepette kapta az első díjat, ami később bírálatcunamit váltott ki. Az incidens után bezárták a rendezvénynek helyszínt biztosító Maxim Rock kulturális központot.

A dél-koreai nemzeti rendőrség (KNPA) vizsgálatot indított Szöul Jongszan kerületének rendőrfőnöke, valamint a szöuli fővárosi rendőrség egyik tisztje ellen a múlt szombaton történt tömegszerencsétlenség miatt. Október 29-én több mint 150-en haltak meg, miután pánik tört ki egy halloweeni rendezvényen Szöul bulinegyedében, Ithevonban.
A vizsgálatra azért kerül sor, mert egyre több kritika éri a dél-koreai rendőrséget, miután kiderült, hogy nem tettek semmit a baleset megelőzése érdekében, noha a baleset előtt összesen 11 segélyhívást kaptak, amelyek az Ithevon negyedben tapasztalható túlzsúfoltságra figyelmeztették őket – írja a Jonhap hírügynökség.
Továbbá az is kiderült, hogy az országos rendőrfőnök csaknem két órával a baleset bekövetkezte után értesült az egészről, egy órával és 13 perccel azután, hogy Jun Szogjol elnököt értesítették a balesetről.
A KNPA különleges nyomozócsoportot állított fel a mulasztások kivizsgálására. A csoport szerdán razziát tartott a szöuli fővárosi rendőrkapitányságon, a jongszani rendőrőrsön és hat másik irodában, és lefoglalták a baleset éjszakáján készült rendőrségi munkanaplókat. Vizsgálatot indítottak Li Imdzse, az Ithevon negyedet felügyelő Jongszan rendőrőrs vezetője ellen, és szintén vizsgálat vár Rju Midzsinre, aki a halálos baleset idején a szöuli fővárosi rendőrségnél a helyzetfigyelésért felelt.
Rju Midzsint azzal vádolják, hogy elhanyagolta kötelességét, hogy azonnal felismerje a vészhelyzetet, és jelentse azt a szöuli rendőrfőnöknek és a KNPA helyzetfigyelő osztályának. A vádak szerint Li Imdzse szintén elhanyagolta az irányító feladatait, mivel túl későn érkezett a helyszínre, és későn jelentette a helyzetet a feletteseinek – mondták a KNPA tisztviselői.
A nyomozócsoport várhatóan azt is vizsgálni fogja, hogy a jongszani rendőrkapitányság megfelelően felkészült-e a tömeges rendezvényre. Az előrejelzések szerint akár 100 ezren is megjelenhetnek Ithevonban a halloweeni buli idején, de a jelentések szerint csak mintegy 200 rendőrt küldtek a negyedbe, főként kábítószer- és lopásellenes akciókra. A kritikusok szerint a baleset elkerülhető vagy minimalizálható lett volna, ha a rendőrség időben reagál.
A dél-koreai kormány csütörtökön azt közölte, hogy a 156 áldozat közül 121 dél-koreai temetése már megtörtént, míg a 26 külföldi áldozat közül hétnek a holttestét hazaszállították.

Halloween éjszakáján ismeretlen elkövetők belelőttek a megemlékező tömegbe Chicagóban. Bár halálos áldozatról nem érkezett beszámoló, több gyerek is van a sérültek között. Az elkövetőket még keresi a rendőrség.
Legalább tizennégy ember, köztük több gyerek is megsebesült egy tömeglövöldözésben a chicagói West Side-on Halloween éjszakáján – számolt be a Fox News kedden. A chicagói rendőrség beszámolója alapján lövöldözésben egy hároméves, egy tizenegy éves és egy tizenhárom éves gyermek is megsebesült.
A lövöldözés áldozatain kívül a hatóságok szerint egy személyt elütött egy autó, az ő állapotáról azonban nem közöltek bővebb információt.
A hatóság tájékoztatásából kiderült, hogy az elkövetők egy autóból nyitottak tüzet a megemlékezőkre. Véletlenszerűen lőttek a tömegbe, az indíték azonban nem ismert, egyelőre nem sikerült elfogni őket. A Fox News szemtanúkat is megszólaltatott.
Egyikük arról számolt be, hogy nem volt elegendő számú mentőautó a környéken, és amikor a sebesült tizenhárom éves gyereket odavitték az egyik autóhoz, a mentős azt mondta nekik, hogy nem tudja ellátni, mert vannak nála súlyosabban sérültek is. Ugyanez a szemtanú elmondta, hogy talált egy kislányt, akit a térde alatt ért lövés, őt egy közeli kórházba vitte.
De látott egy felnőtt férfit is, akit állítólag fejbe lőttek. „A földön feküdt, és azt mondták, hogy fejbe lőtték, és mindenhol vér volt”.

Legkevesebb 59 ember meghalt és legalább ötven embert kellett újraéleszteni a dél-koreai főváros, Szöul egyik legnépszerűbb bulinegyedében, Itaewon kerületében szombat este.
Becslések szerint a százötvenet is meghaladhatja a sérültek száma, miután mintegy százezren gyűltek össze a környéken, hogy a halloweent ünnepeljék. A katasztrófa a Hamilton Hotel közelében, egy szűk utcában történt. A tömeg akkor kezdett előrenyomulni, amikor úgy hallották, egy híresség is a környéken van.
Azt azonban nem tudni pontosan, hogy mi okozhatta a katasztrófát, de feltehetőleg a hatalmas tömeg halálra zúzta az embereket.
A Covid-járvány óta ez volt az első olyan alkalom, amikor az emberek maszk nélkül mulatozhattak a szabadban. A közösségi médiában többen megjegyezték, akkora tömeg volt, hogy már nem érezték biztonságban magukat. Az időközben kiérkező rendőrök lezárták a területet.
A közösségi oldalakra kikerült felvételeken az látszik, a mentők sorra élesztik újra az embereket és látják el a sérülteket, több fotón letakart holttestek is láthatók.
„Bárcsak ne láttam volna mindezt. Szívszorító volt”– mondta riportereknek egy szemtanú.
Az ország minden tájáról több mint négyszáz mentőt riasztottak. A Yonhap dél-koreai hírügynökség arról számolt be, eddig 21 személyt, főként húszas éveikben járó nőket szállítottak kórházba.
Jun Szok Jol dél-koreai elnök azonnali hatállyal katasztrófaelhárító csapatot rendelt a helyszínre és rendkívüli ülést hívott össze. Szöul polgármestere pedig bejelentette, hazatér hollandiai útjáról.
