A valaha talált legnagyobb második világháborús bomba robbant fel hatástalanítás közben hétfőn Lengyelországban, a Balti-tengerben – tudatta a Lengyel Haditengerészet szóvivője.
Az óriási bombát egy 1945-ben elsüllyesztett német Lützow cirkálón találták. Swinoujscie korábban Németország része volt, és a bombázás idején Swinemündének hívták – írja a BBC.
Swinoujscie kikötővárosban a bomba miatt 750 embert kellett evakuálni, mert 50 százalék esély volt rá, hogy felrobban. A bomba 6 méter hosszú, 5,4 tonna, amelynek csaknem fele robbanóanyag volt.

A haditengerészet távirányítóval tervezte hatástalanítani a szerkezetet. A tervek szerint nem következett volna be detonáció, de a bomba végül felrobbant.
Az egész várost, földrengésszerűen megrázta a nagy erejű robbanás, a videón is látszik, hogy hatalmas vízoszlop tör fel a levegőbe.
A hatástalanítás detonációvá vált. A bomba hatástalanítottnak tekinthető, nem jelet többé veszélyt a Szczecin-Swinoujscie csatornára – mondat Grzegorz Lewandowski hadnagy, a Lengyel Haditengerészet 8. partvédelmi flottájának szóvivője.
Szerencsére minden búvár a veszélyzónán kívül volt, így nem sérült meg senki.

Közel 3500 lakosnak
kell majd elhagynia otthonát Velencében vasárnap egy második világháborús

A több mint 200 kilogramm súlyú bombát Marghera kikötőjének
térségében találták csatornaásás közben, nem messze a Velencébe bevezető vasúti
hídtól.
A „Bomba Day”-nek elnevezett napon 3500 lakost távolítanak
el otthonaikból a robbanószerkezet körüli 1800 méteres körzetben. Az itt élőket
vasárnap reggel hat órától a helyi sportcsarnokba szállítják át.
Reggel hét órától fokozatosan leállítják a Velencébe be- és
kivezető hajó-, valamint gépjárműforgalmat, a vasúti járatokat és a légteret.

A német tűzszerészek egy 250 kilós
brit és egy másik 50 kilós bombát hatástalanítottak péntek hajnalban. A
nagyobbik bomba miatt tízezer embert kellett evakuálni.
Sikerült hatástalanítani a bombákat Dortmundban. Az észak-németországi
városban két darab II. világháborús bombát találtak építkezéseken. Az egyik egy
250 kilogrammos brit gyártmányú, a másik egy szintén 250 kilogrammos amerikai
bomba volt. A robbanóeszközök hatástalanításának idejére a város egy részét
teljesen lezárták, mintegy tizennégyezer embert evakuáltak.
A hatóságok kiürítettek két kórházat, több idősotthonból kiköltöztették a
lakókat és lezárták a város vasútállomását is. A biztonsági zónából
kitelepítetteket ideiglenesen megnyitott iskolaépületekben helyezték el.
Nyolcvan évvel a II. világháború után még mindig sok robbanószerkezetet
találnak Németországban. Becslések szerint az összes ledobott bomba mintegy tíz
százaléka nem robbant fel.
