A rendőrség közlése szerint tizenegy ember esett ki egy Polaris Rangerből és pótkocsijából, amikor a Roeburndale-i Moor Lane egyik farmján lévő hídon mentek át. A baleset következtében egy ember meghalt, ketten pedig súlyosan megsérültek. Egyikük fejsérülést szenvedett, másikukat hátsérüléssel ápolják. Nyolcan megsérültek, őket a Royal Lancaster Kórházba szállították.
A nyomozás még korai szakaszban jár, az egészségügyi és biztonsági vezetők tisztviselői és a lancashire-i rendőrség nyomozói vizsgálják az esetet.
A rendőrség valószínűsíti, hogy a jármű az utánfutót vontatta, amelyben több ember is volt, amikor a híd összeomlott és a járműben lévők kizuhantak.
