Ihor Tyerehov, Harkiv polgármestere beperelte Tarasz Kreminy nyelvi ombudsmant, mert pénzbírságot szabott ki rá az orosz nyelv nyilvános használatáért – adta hírül szombaton az Ukrajinszka Pravda hírportál Jurij Szidorenkóra, a harkivi városvezető sajtószóvivőjére hivatkozva.
A jelentés szerint a harkivi polgármester magánszemélyként fellebbez a rá kiszabott bírság ellen. A per lényegét a szóvivő nem ismeri. Ihor Tyerehovot 3400 hrivnya pénzbírsággal sújtották, mert nem az államnyelvet használta az ukrán televízió non-stop háborús adásának adott interjújában. Tarasz Kreminy ezért döntött a városvezető megbüntetéséről.
Ihor Tyerehov ugyancsak figyelmeztetést kapott az államnyelvvédelmi ombudsmantól, hogy a törvény szerint a polgármester hivatalos közösségi oldalainak ukrán nyelvűeknek kell lenniük. Tarasz Kreminy megerősítette, hogy Ihor Tyerehov pert indított. Elmondása szerint a per a második bírság kiszabásáról szóló döntésre vonatkozik. „Azzal kapcsolatos, hogy a nem államnyelv használatának tényállása folytatódott, megvizsgáltuk az ügyet, felajánlottuk, hogy magyarázatot adunk, de jelenjen meg személyesen vagy képviselővel, ügyvéddel megvitatni az ügyet. Semmilyen válasz nem érkezett. Ezért bírság kiszabásáról döntöttünk” – hangsúlyozta Tarasz Kreminy.
