Peru legfelsőbb bírósága csütörtökön közel 11,5 év börtönbüntetésre ítélte Pedro Castillo volt elnököt, amiért 2022 decemberében megpróbálta feloszlatni a kongresszust, és rendeleti úton kormányozni, írja a The Guardian.
Az ítélet egy nappal azután született, hogy egy másik baloldali exelnököt, Martín Vizcarrát 14 évre ítélték vesztegetés elfogadása miatt.
2022 decemberében a kongresszus megszavazta Pedro Castillo perui elnök elmozdítását, miután megpróbálta feloszlatni a törvényhozást, de a lépéseit az alkotmánybíróság puccskísérletnek minősítette. Az ellenzéki többségű törvényhozás addigra már harmadszor próbálta meg elmozdítani a 2021 júliusában hatalomra került elnököt alkotmányos vádeljárás keretében.

A párizsi bíróság bűnösnek találta Gérard Depardieu francia filmsztárt két nő szexuális zaklatásában. Az ítélet 18 hónap felfüggesztett börtönbüntetésről szól, ami igen jelentős lépés a francia MeToo-mozgalom számára.
A 76 éves színész, aki több mint 200 filmben szerepelt, a 2021-es Les Volets Verts forgatásán zaklatta a két nőt, akik háttérmunkát végeztek a stábban. Az egyik áldozat, Amelie, díszletberendezőként dolgozott, és azt vallotta, pánikba esett a történtek idején. Állítása szerint Depardieu a folyosón közrefogta, majd végigtapogatta a testét: „Rémisztő volt – úgy nézett ki, mint egy őrült”.
Depardieu tagadta a vádakat, annak ellenére, hogy több szemtanú is megerősítette az áldozatok állításait. Ügyvédje védelmében azt hangoztatta, hogy a színész csak meg akarta tartani az egyensúlyát vagy felhívni magára a figyelmet – de Amelie szerint ezek a verziók „nyilvánvalóan hamisak”.

Egy ideig nem fognak szabad emberként élni, hosszú ideig kell börtönben maradniuk a háborús bűncselekmények elkövetése okán.
Ukrajna ígéretet tett arra, hogy minden lehetséges módszerrel felkutatja a háborús bűnelkövetőket. Több ezer ilyen esetet regisztráltak, így akár hosszú évekig is eltarthat a folyamat, és sok olyan eset is lehetséges, amiknek nem találják meg a bűnöseit.
Független attól, hogy háború zajlik Ukrajnában, egyre több orosz katonát állítanak bíróság elé, akiket akár napok alatt felelősségre tudnak vonni. Ez most ismét megtörtént, újabb orosz katonák kaptak súlyos ítéletet.
Egy ukrán bíróság 11 és fél év börtönbüntetésre ítélte kedden a két elfogott orosz katonát, akik egy kelet-ukrajnai városban lövöldöztek. Rövid időn belül ez a második ilyen ítélet, amikor háborús bűnök elkövetésében találnak bűnösnek katonákat.
Alekszandr Bobikin és Alekszandr Ivanov az elmúlt héten mindketten bűnösnek vallották magukat. Ez valószínűleg enyhítő körülmény jelentett az esetükben, de így is nagyon hosszú ideig lesznek börtönben. A hírről a The Guardian is beszámolt a Reuters jelentésén keresztül.
Olekszandr Bobikint és Olekszandr Ivanovot a háborús törvények és szokások megsértésével vádolják. A nyomozás szerint Harkiv régió békés területeire lőttek. Mindketten bűnösnek vallották magukat.
Az ügyészség 12 év fegyházbüntetés kiszabását indítványozta a vádlottaknak. Védőik a letöltendő büntetés idejének csökkentését kérték.

Agyonlőtte magát egy büntetőeljárás alá vont volt közalkalmazott
ítélethirdetés után egy moszkvai kerületi bíróságon.
„Ítélethirdetéskor a tárgyalóteremben tartózkodó vádlott,
miután a bíró ismertette a büntetési tételét, önkezűleg véget vetett életének” –
közölte Uljana Szolopova, a törvényszék szóvivője, akit az Interfax orosz hírügynökség
idézett.
A vádirat szerint a korábban a büntetés-végrehajtásban dolgozó Viktor Szviridov tízmillió rubelt (50 millió forint) zsarolt ki egyik kollégájától. Az egykori közalkalmazottat három év börtönre ítélték.
A bíróság szerint most vizsgálják, hogy a férfi miként csempészhetett
be fegyvert a tárgyalóterembe, mivel az orosz bíróságokon egyébként nagyon
szigorú biztonsági intézkedések vannak érvényben, a rendet fegyveres őrök felügyelik,
és fémdetektorokkal ellenőrzik a belépőket.
Az elítélt súlyos rákbetegsége miatt szabadlábon védekezhetett,
és ügyvédjével abban reménykedtek, hogy betegsége okán nem fogják letöltendő szabadságvesztésre
ítélni. Grigorij Ivaniscsev hozzátette: ügyfele végig tagadta bűnösségét. Az ügyvéd
sérelmezte, hogy a bíróság nem vette figyelembe a védencét felmentő bizonyítékokat,
a többi között egy hangfelvételt.
Ivaniscsev szerint Szviridov azok közé a segítők közé tartozott,
akik az 1986-os csernobili atomerőmű-baleset okozta károk elhárításában vettek
részt. A férfi egyébként azzal a fegyverrel lőtte agyon magát, amelyet kiváló szolgálati
teljesítményéért kapott – tette hozzá a jogász.
