Az esemény ez év júniusában vált ismertté. Egy 35 éves kárpátaljai nő kereste meg a rendőrkapitányságot, és tájékoztatta a rendfenntartókat, hogy lakótársa szexuális erőszakot követett el 13 éves lánya ellen.
Ennek alapján a Nemzeti Rendőrség nyomozói azonnal megkezdték az előzetes vizsgálatot. Az intézkedések után a rendfenntartók számos bizonyítékot gyűjtöttek össze, amelyek megerősítették a kérelmező vallomását. A rendőrség azonnal felkereste a gyanúsítottat. Őrizetbe vették és ideiglenes fogdába helyezték. Tizennegyedik életévét be nem töltött személy ellen elkövetett nemi erőszak ténye miatt indítottak ellene eljárást.
Az elkövetőt 15 év börtönbüntetésre ítélhetik – közölte a megyei rendőrség kommunikációs osztálya.

Megyénkben 2,4-es erősségű földrengést észleltek Ungvártól 10 kilométerre.
Augusztus 10-én 2,4-es erősségű földrengés volt Kárpátalján, melynek epicentruma a megyeszékhelytől 10 km-re keletre található.
A közlemény szerint a földrengés 5 km-es mélységben történt, nem volt észlelhető.
A földrengésről szóló hírt a Speciális Irányítási Központ honlapján közölték.
2020-2023 között összesen 7 földrengést regisztráltak Ungvár közelében, amelyek közül a legerősebb földrengéseket 2020. április 19-én és 27-én észlelték. A földrengések a Richter-skála szerint 3,1-es, illetve 3,2-es erősségűek voltak.

Jurij Jacina, a Kárpátaljai Megyei Klinikai Kórház főorvosa elmondta, hogy a kórház 16 lélegeztetőgéppel rendelkezik, a folyamatos oxigénellátás biztosítva van kórház épületében. A koronavírusos betegeket ellátó egészségügyi dolgozók 4 műszakban dolgoznak. Megközelítőleg a kórház 32 alkalmazottjának tudnak szállást biztosítani. Az egyéni védőeszközökből egy hetes tartalékkal rendelkezik a kórház: szájmaszkok, biovédőruhák, szemüvegek. A nélkülözhetetlen eszközök beszerzése folyamatos. A megye egészségügyi intézményei csak a sürgős eseteket látják el. Abban az esetben, ha valaki rosszul érzi magát, ne az egészségügyi intézményhez forduljon, hanem telefonáljon a családorvosnak, ő majd útba igazítja.
