A karneváli lövöldözés Utah államban, a West Valley City-ben rendezett WestFest fesztiválon történt, ahol öt embert lőttek meg vasárnap este – írja a CBS News. A támadásban egy 18 éves fiú, egy 41 éves nő és egy csecsemő életét vesztette. A rendőrség szerint egy 16 éves fiú nyitott tüzet, miután két csoport között szóváltás alakult ki a helyszínen.
A karneváli lövöldözés után egy 16 éves fiút vettek őrizetbe
A helyszínen tartózkodó rendőrök épp közbe akartak lépni, amikor a fiatalkorú elővette a fegyverét, és tüzet nyitott. Egy 17 éves lány és egy 15 éves fiú is megsebesült, őket karon találták el – nem tudni, hogy kapcsolatban álltak-e az érintett csoportokkal.
A támadás pánikot okozott a rendezvényen. A CBS helyi csatornája szerint egy várandós nő is megsérült, miközben a kerítésen keresztül próbált elmenekülni.
