A világ egyik legaktívabb vulkánja, a hawaii Nagy-szigeten található Kilauea ismét kitört, immár huszonötödször december óta. A szerdai kitörés során a lávaszökőkutak elérték a 100 métert is, és több lávafolyamot is megfigyeltek a tudósok.
A kitörést előtt a kráterben felgyülemlett gáz hirtelen távozott, felfelé lökve a lávát, majd az visszazuhant a kürtőbe. Ez a jelenség akár tízszer is megismétlődött óránként.
A kitörések általában csak néhány órát vagy egy napot tartanak, közöttük több napos szünetekkel.

Szerdán ismét kitört a Kilauea vulkán, amely december óta kisebb-nagyobb megszakításokkal folyamatosan aktív. A Hawaii-on található vulkán a világ legaktívabbjai közé tartozik, és az elmúlt hónapokban többször is kitörést produkált.
Két héttel ezelőtt már elképesztő lávakitöréseket produkált a tűzhányó. Szerdán pedig ismét elkezdte a magma kibocsátását. Szerencsére az olvadt kőzet nem veszélyeztette a lakóterületeket – közölte az amerikai geológiai intézet.
A kitörések 28 órán át tartottak és csütörtök délután értek véget.
Az USGS (Egyesült Államok Geológiai Intézete) Hawaii Vulkán Obszervatóriuma szerint az elmúlt hét órában a lávaszökőkutak 600 láb (188 méter) magasak voltak.

A vulkán december 23-án kezdte meg újra aktív működését. Azóta több mint egy tucatszor állt le majd kezdte újból a láva kilövellését. A legrövidebb 13 órán keresztül tartott, míg a leghosszabb nyolc napon át tartott.

Kitört hétfő a hawaii Kilauea vulkán. A kitörést kamerák rögzítették, amelyek a láva felszínre törését mutatták. Az Amerikai Földtani Intézet (USGS) helyi idő szerint reggel 7:41-kor vörös riasztást adott ki, miután intenzív földrengési aktivitást észleltek a vulkán csúcsa alatt.
A dinamikus kitörésről készült felvételeken lávaszökőkutak láthatók, amelyek repedéseken keresztül törnek elő, lávafolyamokat táplálva a Halemaʻumaʻu-kráter alján.
A kitörés jelenleg a csúcskalderára korlátozódik, és a veszélyeket a helyzet alakulásával újraértékeljük – áll az USGS közleményében.

A mintegy 280 000 évvel ezelőtt keletkezett Kilauea Hawaii legfiatalabb és legaktívabb vulkánj. A vulkán az 1800-as évek óta több mint 60 alkalommal tört ki, és kitörései rendszeresen jelentős mennyiségű vulkáni gázt juttatnak a légkörbe.
A hétfői kitörés következtében vulkáni szmog alakulhat ki.
Ez a ködszerű képződmény gázok, aeroszolok és részecskék keverékéből áll, amely napfény, nedvesség és por hatására jön létre. Az USGS figyelmeztetett, hogy a szmog különösen veszélyes lehet a légzőszervi problémákkal küzdő emberek számára, emellett bőrirritációt, szem- és torokfájdalmat, valamint influenzaszerű tüneteket is okozhat.
A múlt héten az USGS már sárga figyelmeztetést adott ki a vulkán aktivitására. A Kilauea legutóbb szeptemberben tört ki, akkor kisebb földrengések előzték meg a láva felszínre törését.
Most hétfőn hasonló előjelek után kezdődött a kitörés, amelyet két jelentősebb, 3,1-es és 4,3-es erősségű földrengés kísért.
A Kilauea kitörése jelenleg a Hawaii-szigeten élő mintegy 200 000 ember számára jelent kockázatot.

Három hónapos szünet után ismét kitört a Hawaii szigetén található Kilauea, a világ egyik legaktívabb vulkánja – jelentették be az amerikai földtani intézet (USGS) hawaii vulkánfigyelő szolgálatának kutatói.
A Hawaii Vulkánmegfigyelő Intézet munkatársai a Nagy Sziget Nemzeti Parkban található tűzhányó csúcsán lévő webkamerák felvételein izzást észleltek csütörtökön, ami arra utal, hogy a tűzhányó elkezdett működni. A kitörés előtt az intézet arról számolt be, hogy a kutatók fokozódó földmozgások és a talaj deformációjának elváltozásait észlelték kedd este.
„Jelenleg nem látjuk aktivitás jeleit a hasadékövezetben” – mondta Mike Zoeller, a megfigyelőintézet geológusa. „Nincs okunk arra számítani, hogy olyan kitörés kezdődjön, amely a szigeten élő lakosságot lávafolyammal veszélyeztetné”. A kutató azt is elmondta, hogy a láva a csúcson lévő kalderában maradt tehát még mindig van elég hely ahhoz, hogy további láva kiáramlást hozzon létre anélkül, hogy veszélyeztetné a közeli házakat vagy az infrastruktúrát.

A Kilauea a Hawaii-szigetcsoport legnagyobb szigetén található, a világ aktív vulkánjai között a legtöbb kitörés fűződik hozzá. Legutóbb 2021 szeptemberében tört ki, és működése 16 hónapon keresztül tartott, tavaly decemberben észlelték aktivitásának megszűnését.
A Hawaii Vulkánfigyelő Szolgálat közleménye szerint a kráteren belüli láva megjelenése az újabb kitörés kezdetét jelzi. A vulkán működése lakott területeket közvetlenül nem fenyeget.
A Kiluaea tavaly decemberben két héten át egy időben működött a szomszédos Mauna Loa vulkánnal, ami számos turistát vonzott a Hawaii Vulkánok Nemzeti Parkba. December közepén a két vulkán aktivitása egy időben szűnt meg.
A Mauna Loa vulkánból kiömlő forró láva decemberben sem okozott közvetlen veszélyt lakott területre, ugyanakkor néhány kilométerre megközelített Hawaii központi szigetének kulcsfontosságú autópályáját. A Kilauea vulkán 2018-as kitörése során 700 lakóingatlant semmisített meg.

Figyelmeztetést adtak ki Hawaiin, miután kitört az egyik legaktívabb vulkán, a Kilauea. Az amerikai földtani intézet szerint a kitörést először szerdán észlelték a Kilauea Halema’uma’u kráterénél, annak csúcsánál, a Hawaii Vulkánok Nemzeti Parkjában található Kilauea Halema’uma’u-nál.
A vulkáni tevékenység kezdete miatt a terület körüli légiforgalmi kódot vörösre változtatták. A helyszínről készült webkamerás felvételeken és fotókon látható, hogy a kráter felszínéről lávafolyamok emelkednek ki, és érintkeznek a 2021 májusáig tartó korábbi aktivitása során keletkezett lávatóval.
A Kilauea “megfigyelő” státuszát a kitörés kezdete előtt 10 perccel “figyelmeztetésre” emelték, s bár a kitörés nincs lakott területek közelében, és úgy vélik, hogy a vulkáni tevékenység nem jelent veszélyt az otthonokra, a hatóságok továbbra is szoros figyelemmel kísérik.

A Kilauea 2018-ban tört ki legutóbb, amelynek következtében 24 ember megsérült, és több ezer lakos kényszerült elhagyni otthonát, mivel a láva és az üledék elpusztította az otthonaikat. Augusztusban kisebb aktivitást jelentettek a vulkánról, egy másik kisebb, de hosszan tartó kitörést követően, amely 2020 decemberétől idén májusig tartott.
A Hawaii Vulkánok Nemzeti Park szóvivője az Associated Pressnek elmondta, hogy a jelenleg érintett területet nem lehet túrázni vagy autóval közlekedni. A park jelenleg is nyitva áll a látogatók előtt, és eddig nem jelentettek be útlezárásokat.
