A Koinu tájfun heves esőzéssel és erős széllökésekkel érte el pénteken a dél-kínai Kuangtung tartományt, miután az elmúlt napokban végigsöpört Tajvanon.
A napokig Tajvanon tomboló 4-es kategóriájú Koinu tájfun – amely japánul kiskutyát jelent – miatt egy ember életét vesztette, több százan megsérültek és több épület, közút megrongálódott a szigeten, ahol a katasztrófavédelem már megkezdte a helyreállítási munkálatokat.
A tajvani hatóságok tájékoztatása szerint az óránként akár 212 kilométeres széllökéseket is okozó tájfun miatt csaknem 5000 ember otthona rongálódott meg, a kikötőben 70 hajó süllyedt el vagy sérült meg és két iskola épülete szinte teljesen összedőlt, a légiközlekedés pedig még mindig szünetel.
A kínai meteorológiai központ szerint több mint 300 milliméter csapadék is hullhat Kuangtung tartományra, és a harmadik legmagasabb szintű, sárga riasztást adta ki a tájfun miatt.
Kuangtungban már több kompjáratot leállítottak az óránkénti 144 kilométeres széllökésekkel tomboló vihar miatt, és figyelmeztették a turistákat hogy maradjanak távol a tengerparti üdülőhelyektől.
Szakértők szerint a tájfun péntek este Kína déli partvidéke felé veszi az irányt, ahol már erős trópusi viharrá szelídül.
Tajvant és Kína déli részét hetek óta sújtják a szélsőséges időjárási jelenségek, szeptember elején a Haikui tájfun okozott kíméletlen viharokat, földcsuszamlásokat és haláleseteket Kínában.

A Koinu tájfun heves esőzéssel és erős széllökésekkel érte el csütörtökön Tajvan délkeleti részét, a viharban 190 ember sérült meg, de halálos áldozatot nem követelt, azonban több millióan nem tudtak munkába vagy iskolába menni az ítéletidő miatt – közölték a helyi hatóságok csütörtökön.

A tajvani hatóságok a vihar idejére több városban munkaszünetet és az iskolák bezárását rendelték el, így több millióan estek ki a munkából az óránként akár 250 kilométeres széllökéseket is okozó tájfun miatt. Tajpejt, a fővárost, amely a sziget pénzügyi központja is egyben, nem érinti a vihar.
A tajvani tűzoltóság 190 sérültről számolt be, de halálos áldozatokat nem követelt a vihar, az épületekben pedig csak kisebb károk keletkeztek.
A 4-es kategóriájú Koinu tájfun – amely japánul kiskutyát jelent – a Hengcsun-félszigetnél csapott le Tajvanra, de az előrejelzések szerint a Tajvani-szoros felé haladva gyengülni kezdett és a dél-kínai Kuangtung és Fucsien tartomány felé halad, majd Hongkong felé veszi az irányt, ahol már trópusi viharrá szelídül.
A heves esők földcsuszamlásokat és árvizeket okozhatnak a hegyekben, ezért a parkokat és az erdei pihenőhelyeket is lezárták. Az embereket felszólították, hogy maradjanak távol a partoktól, mert akár hét méter magas hullámokat is korbácsolhat a tájfun.
A közlekedési minisztérium tájékoztatása szerint szinte az összes belföldi és 42 nemzetközi repülőjáratot töröltek, illetve a kompközlekedés is szünetel.
Tajvant és Kína déli részét hetek óta sújtják a szélsőséges időjárási jelenségek, szeptember elején a Haikui tájfun Tajvan délkeleti részét bénította meg, sokan megsérültek, mintegy nyolcezer embert evakuáltak, és legalább 226 ezer háztartás maradt ideiglenesen áramszolgáltatás nélkül.
