Robbanás történt, majd tűz ütött ki a romániai Navodari településen található Petromidia kőolajfinomítóban – közölte a Konstanca megyei katasztrófavédelmi felügyelőség.
A Dobrudzsában, a Fekete-tenger partján lévő város kőolajfinomítójában előbb robbanást hallottak, majd tűz ütött ki, melyet sűrű sötét füst követett. Ezt a román hírtelevíziók jelentése szerint más tengerparti üdülőtelepekről is látni lehet.
A térség katasztrófavédelmi felügyelősége (ISU) legmagasabb szintű, vörös riasztást adott ki, és mozgósította a közeli megyék – Calarasi, Ialomita és Tulcea – illetékes hatóságait is. A lakosságot a RO-Alert telefonos sürgősségi rendszeren keresztül figyelmeztették a veszélyes füstre.
A helyszínen hírügynökségi jelentések szerint csaknem húsz mentőcsapat dolgozik a lángok megfékezésén, az eddigi információk szerint az összes alkalmazottat sikerült kimenekíteni, áldozatokról nem tudnak. A Digi24 úgy tudja, hogy a robbanás a gázolaj-desztilláló berendezésnél történt.
Mihai Dragan, a környezetvédelmi minisztérium szóvivője közölte, hogy a sűrű füstöt a tenger felé fújja a szél, így a környéken egyelőre nem romlott a levegő minősége. A hírportál emlékeztetett, hogy a Petromidia Navodari kőolajfinomítónál 2021-ben is történt egy robbanás, melyet tűz követett, az akkori balesetben egy ember meghalt, öt másik pedig megsérült.
Több órával a tűz keletkezése után a katasztrófavédelmi felügyelőség közölte: sikerült megfékezni a lángokat, de továbbra is fennáll a veszély, hogy újra felcsaphatnak. Ezért a kőolajfinomító műszaki személyzete a lángra kapott berendezés kiürítésén dolgozik, a tűzoltók pedig tovább folytatják a hűtési műveleteket.
A környezetvédelmi őrség jelentése szerint a tűz eloltása után a füst és a kellemetlen szag is megszűnt.
Ana Maria Stoica, az ISU szóvivője közölte, hogy az oltási folyamatban egy tűzöltő megsérült, őt a konstancai kórházba vitték kivizsgálásra.
A finomítót működtető Rompetrol vállalat közleményében azt írta, hogy a lángok az úgynevezett hidrokrakkoló berendezés karbantartása után keletkeztek.
Az alkalmazottak azonnal jelentették, és a vállalat tűzoltói még a katasztrófavédelmi egységek kiérkezése előtt elkezdték az oltást – írta a vállalat közleményére hivatkozva az Agerpres. A Petromidia Navodari Románia legnagyobb kőolajfinomítója, és az egyik legmodernebb ilyen létesítmény a térségben – idézte a közleményt a hírügynökség.
