Fico azért érkezett volna Brüsszelbe, hogy találkozzon Ursula von der Leyen bizottsági elnökkel.
A brüsszeli repülőtér szóvivője közölte, hogy csütörtök délután mintegy egy órára lezárták az EU fővárosa feletti légteret a légiforgalmi irányítás nem részletezett technikai problémája miatt.

Belgium légterét csütörtök délután egy órára lezárták a légiforgalmi irányítás műszaki problémája miatt; Zaventem, Antwerpen, Ostende, Charleroi és Liege repülőterén egy repülőgép sem tudott le- vagy felszállni.
A Skeyes, a belga légtér irányításáért felelős vállalat légiforgalmi irányító rendszere nem működött megfelelően, minden 7500 méteres magasság alatt repülő légi járművet a szomszédos országokba irányítottak – közölte a vállalat szóvivője, Kurt Verwilligen akit az RTBF belga közszolgálati média idézett.
