A nápolyi bűnözés egyik központi kerületében omlott le egy épület, a rendőrök és a tűzoltók még vizsgálják a baleset okát.
Tragédia történt a nápolyi Scampia negyedben. Hétfőn késő este egy összekötő galéria összeomlása miatt ketten meghaltak, 13-an – köztük 7 gyerek – pedig megsérültek.
Az omlás a harmadik emeleten következett be, azonban a második és első emeleti galériák is érintettek voltak. A tűzoltóság a törmelék eltakarítása után ürítette ki a felsőbb szinteket, azóta pedig az épület stabilitásának felmérése zajlik.
Az olasz rendőrség már nyomoz az ügyben. Valószínűleg a rossz hírű negyed egy régi épületének szerkezeti hibája a felelős, azonban a tűzoltóság véleménye előtt nem tudnak biztosat.
Az este 11-kor bekövetkező omlás után rengetegen az utcára menekültek, tartva attól, hogy az épület újabb része omlik le. A Vela Celeste az egyike az utolsó olyan épületeknek, ami miatt Nápoly Scampia negyedét csak „Gomorrának” nevezik. A Manfredi-kormányzat tavaly áprilisban jelentette be, hogy újjáépítik a környéket, erre pedig 18 milliós támogatást biztosítottak a Periferie-tervvel.
A projektben az épület szinte teljes felújítása mellett a környéket is szerették volna élhetőbbé tenni, ám kudarcot vallott, a Vele pedig egyre inkább leépült, az utóbbi időben pedig a bűnözés és a drogkereskedelem központjává vált.
Bár a revitalizáció folyamatosan tervben volt a városvezetés részéről, ám egyelőre nem történt előrelépés az ügyben.

Legalább két ember meghalt, 15-en pedig megsérültek, miután egy mexikói éjszakai klubban beszakadt a szórakozók alatt egy üvegerkély – írja a The Sun.
A mexikói Sant Luis Potos egyik bevásárlóközpontjának harmadik emeletén lévő szórakozóhelyen az egyik korlát az emberek nyomására omlott össze, többen 12 métert zuhantak.
A bulizók az ismert mexikói zenész, Kevin Moreno konertjére válrt a Rich Clubban, amikor a tragédia történt. Öt ember súlyos sérüléseket szenvedett, őket jelenleg is intenzív osztályon kezelik.
Jorge Hernandez, a városháza illetékese azt mondta, hogy a szórakozóhely nem kapott engedélyt a koncert megrendezésére. Hozzátette: „A rendezvényen részt vevő emberek állandó és ellenőrizetlen jelenléte miatt az épület harmadik emeletének egyik korlátja a nyomás alatt meghajlott, ez vezetett ehhez a tragédiához, amely két ember életét követelte”.
Nem sokkal a tragédia után a hatóságok bezárták a szórakozóhelyet, és lezárták a környéket a jelenleg is zajló vizsgálat idejére.

Tragédia történt a beregszászi járási Tiszaújlakon, leszakadt egy ötemeletes tömbház erkélye. A baleset következtében egy ember életét vesztette, egy pedig megsérült.
A hírt a Rendkívüli Helyzetek Állami Szolgálata (DSZNSZ) közölte. A szemtanúk elmondása szerint az édesanya és fia kimentek lakásuk erkélyére, ekkor történt a tragédia. Mindketten a járdára zuhantak. A nő azonnal életét vesztette, a férfit súlyos sérülésekkel szállították kórházba.
A hatóságok vizsgálják az eset pontos körülményeit.

Tragikus eset történt Zaporizzsja megyében november 30-án. Az Olekszandrivszka utcán maga alá temetett egy balkon egy férfit, aki szörnyethalt.
Az információk szerint az eset egy használaton kívüli épületben történt, a férfi a balkonon állt, amikor az épületrész hirtelen leomlott. A mentőszolgálat munkatársai megpróbálták megmenteni az életét, azonban a mentőautóban a 36 éves áldozat azonban életét vesztette.
A baleset pontos körülményeit még vizsgálják, az ügyben folyik az eljárás.

Kilencen megsérültek, köztük öten súlyosan, amikor leszakadt egy erkély a Németország északnyugati részén Horn-Bad Meingberg városában.
A rendőrség szóvivője vasárnap közölte a német DPA hírügynökséggel, hogy a súlyos sérültek közül legalább egy személy életveszélyes állapotban van.
A 21 és 24 év közötti fiatalokból álló csoport éppen egy emeletes ház második emeleti erkélyén tartózkodott az Észak-Rajna-Vesztfália tartományban található településen, amikor az alattuk lévő fapadló egyszerűen beszakadt.
A fiatalok pedig ennek következtében zuhanni kezdtek és a földbe csapódtak, valamennyien sérülést szenvedve ezzel. Négy személy pedig a törmelékek alatt rekedt, őket a tűzoltók szabadították ki.
A tűzoltóság nem tudta egyelőre megnevezni, hogy miért szakadt be a fiatalok alatt az erkély, annyit viszont közöltek, hogy legalább hetven embert vetettek be a mentési munkálatokhoz.
Egy helyi lap beszámolója alapján a Deutsche Welle például arról ír, hogy ugyan továbbra is ismeretlen az erkély beszakadásának az oka, de annyit tudni, hogy a fiatalok még az első emeleti erkélyen is keresztülzuhantak, mielőtt földet értek.
Nem tekinthető gyakorinak, hogy ekkora baj történik egy erkély beszakadásából, utoljára Kaliforniában fordult még elő 2015-ben, hogy hat ír diák vesztette életét egy hasonló balesetben.

Két ember súlyosan megsérült, amikor leszakadt az erkély a bulizók alatt Malibuban szombaton – számolt be az Origo.
Többen megsérültek Malibuban, amikor egy összejövetel során leszakadt egy nyaraló erkélye szombat délután – írja a Metropol a Fox News alapján. Két ember kritikus állapotban van, kilencen pedig könnyebb sérüléseket szenvedtek.
A nyaraló tulajdonosa azt mondta, hogy ingatlant legfeljebb hat ember vehetné igénybe egy időben, a bérlők azonban legalább további tizenkét embert hívtak meg a hétvégi bulijukra. A szomszédok is először arról értesítették, hogy az ingatlanban jóval többen vannak a megengedettnél, de hiába hívta a bérlőket, azok nem vették fel neki a telefont. Ezután a szomszédok már azért hívták, hogy leszakadt az erkély.
A tragédiát a szomszéd biztonsági kamerája is rögzítette: a felvételen látható, ahogy a tömött terasz egyszer csak leszakad az emberekkel együtt. A cikk szerint a szerencsésebbek a homokos partra zuhantak, mások azonban a négy-öt méteres zuhanás után a szikláknak vagy betonba csapódtak.
Az ingatlant a tűzoltók lakhatatlannak minősítették.
