„Már csaknem 600 házat romboltak le. A magánszektorban 6000 ház semmisült meg. Emellett a kórházak 70%-a, az iskolák és óvodák 50%-a megsemmisült” – mondta a LIGA.net-nek adott interjújában.



Adatai szerint ekkor 52 ezer mariupoli család maradt otthon nélkül – ez 150-200 ezer ember, vagyis a város fele.



Elmondása szerint körülbelül 8200 mariupoli halt meg, azonban 10500 sírhelyet számoltak meg a városban.

Az orosz megszállás miatt megközelíthetetlenné vált területeken elkövetett háborús bűnök kivizsgálásának nehézségei ellenére mi és partnereink közel két évet töltöttünk azzal, hogy feltárjuk az igazságot az orosz erők által Mariupolban elkövetett bűnökről. A nyomozás célja, hogy ezek a bűnök soha ne merüljenek feledésbe, és az elkövetők bíróság elé kerüljenek – mondta Roman Avramenko, az Igazságkutatók ügyvezető igazgatója.






Ugyanakkor az emberi jogi aktivisták hangsúlyozzák, hogy a halálos áldozatok száma sokkal magasabb lehet. Egyes sírokban több holttest is lehet, míg mások maradványait valószínűleg a romok alá temették. Néhányan közülük esetleg rögtönzött sírokban maradtak.



A kutatók 14 támadást dokumentáltak, amelyek 18 épületet rongáltak meg vagy romboltak le, civileket megölve és megsebesítve. Ezek között volt két kórház, a város színháza, egy élelmiszerraktár, egy segélyosztó központ, egy szupermarket és a civilek számára menedékként szolgáló lakóépületek elleni támadás.



A jelentés szerint 2022 márciusában és áprilisában Mariupolban az orosz és az oroszokhoz közel álló erők 17 egysége tevékenykedett.

Az invázió kezdete óta az oroszok 2208 házat rongáltak meg Mariupolban. Ezek felét lerombolták. Most lebontják őket, gödröket és kőhalmokat hagyva maguk után – mondta Vadim Bojcsenko, Mariupol polgármestere. 



A Mariupoli Városi Tanács véleménye szerint a házak lebontásával az oroszok háborús bűneiket akarják elrejteni – olvasható az Unian oldalán.

Megkezdték a mariupoli színház bontását az orosz hatóságok – írja a BBC a város polgármesterétől kapott információk alapján.



A mariupoli színház ikonikus épülete az orosz–ukrán háborúnak: az oroszok márciusban lebombázták az akkor menekültszállásként funkcionáló épületet. A színházban több mint ezren voltak, a bent élők pedig az épület mellé hatalmas betűkkel felfestették, hogy gyerekek is vannak odabent.






Petro Andrjuscsenko polgármester szerint az orosz katonák most ennek a háborús bűncselekménynek a nyomát is el akarják tüntetni. Erre utal az is, hogy a helyszínről készült videók és képek szerint nemrégiben a színház épületét fekete paravánnal vették körül. A paravánon orosz kulturális személyiségek portréit tették közzé. Andrjuscsenko szerint az oroszok nem fogják az egész épületet porig rombolni, az elejét érintetlenül hagyják, azonban a színház lényegi részét újra fogják építeni.



A város jelenlegi orosz vezetése új műsort ígért Mariupol megmaradt lakóinak: a Brémai muzsikusokat fogják játszani – de nem a háborúban feldúlt színház, hanem a pár kilométerrel arrébb található Úttörők Palotájának épületében.



Mariupol ostroma után műholdakkal kezdték el pásztázni a város környékét, akkor több tízezer tömegsírt találtak. Ukrán becslések szerint a városban 25 ezer ukrán veszthette életét – civilek és katonák vegyesen. Oroszország csupán májusra tudta bevenni Mariupolt, ahol az Azovsztal acélgyárba húzódtak vissza a város védői, hetekig megtartva a gyár alatti folyosókat az oroszokkal szemben.
