Egy műtrágyát szállító tehervonat alatt összeomlott egy híd, és a vasúti kocsik a Mary’s folyóba zuhantak.
Az eset szombat dél körül történt a corvallis-i Avery Park közelében.
A 19 vagonból álló vonat a vasúti hídon haladt át, amikor az összeomlott, de sérültekről nem érkezett jelentés.
A lakosokat arra kérik, hogy kerüljék el a területet, mivel karbamid – egy műtrágyaként használt vegyi anyag – kerülhetett a vízbe. A katasztrófaelhárító csapatok azon dolgoznak, hogy a folyó közelében elszigetelő gátakat állítsanak fel az anyag kiszivárgásának elkerülése érdekében – írja a Fox12 Oregon.
A vasúti kocsikat elszállítják, de a folyó túlpartján maradt vagonokat a híd megjavításáig nem tudják elvontatni.
A balesettel kapcsolatos vizsgálat folyamatban van.
A közelben élők szerint nem ez az első eset, hogy a Mary’s River vasúti hídja megrongálódott. Néhány évvel ezelőtt a híd kigyulladt – mondták el a helybéliek.

Az orosz csapatok ismét mérgező anyagokat kezdtek bevetni az ukrán katonák ellen a fronton, közölte Olekszandr Tarnavszkij, a „Tavria” operatív és stratégiai alakulat parancsnoka Telegramon.
Elmondása szerint február 20-tól az oroszok újrakezdték mérgező anyagok alkalmazását Zaporizzsje, valamint Donyeck régióban. Összesen 4 gránátot regisztráltak, amelyeket a megszállók könnygáz és fulladást okozó vegyszerrel töltöttek fel.
Ugyanakkor a „Tavria” operatív és stratégiai alakulat műveleti területén az orosz csapatok csökkentették a légierő tevékenységet az elmúlt nap során. Az ellenség csak 2 légicsapást hajtott végre, 42 harci bevetést hajtott végre és 1040 tüzérségi lövedéket indított el.
Eközben Avdijivka irányban az ellenség ismét kis rohamcsapatok támadó akcióival próbálkozik.
Tarnavszkij hangsúlyozta, hogy a helyzet továbbra is ellenőrzés alatt áll, az ukrán katonák szilárdan tartják a védelmet és aktívan semmisítik meg az ellenséget.
