Több tízezren tüntettek hétfőn Párizsban és más francia nagyvárosokban a nemzetközi nőnap alkalmából a nemek közti egyenlőtlenségek felszámolásáért, amelyeket a koronavírus-járvány és az ország többszöri lezárása felerősített – írja az MTI.
A tüntetők elítélték, hogy a nők ugyanazon munkáért nem kapnak ugyanakkora fizetést, mint a férfiak, valamint rendszeresen diszkrimináció, illetve szexuális és szexista bántalmazás áldozatai. A karneváli hangulatú párizsi menet élén vonulók molinójukon „feminista sztrájkra” szólítottak fel. A szervezők szerint a fővárosban mintegy 30 ezren vonultak utcára.
„Kár, hogy 2021-ben is még a jogegyenlőségért tüntetünk” – mondta egy 22 éves egyetemista lány az AFP francia hírügynökségnek. Szerinte a járvány visszalépést jelentett a nők jogainak területén. Strasbourgban több százan – köztük száz szülésznő – tüntettek a nőknek és a férfiaknak egyforma elismerésért a munka világában.
A nemek között még mindig meglévő egyenlőtlenségek tudatosítására a nőket jelképesen arra kérték a felvonulók, hogy délután 3 óra 40 perckor hagyják abba a munkát, mert a nők és férfiak összes keresetének középső értéke alapján a bérszakadék a két nem között mintegy 25 százalék.
