A nemzetközi terrorcsoportok feketelistájára tette az Egyesült Államok pénteken az Északi Ellenállási Mozgalom (NMR) nevű svéd újfasiszta csoportot – közölte az amerikai külügyminisztérium. A tárca azzal indokolta a döntést, hogy az NMR – amely a közlemény szerint Svédország legnagyobb neonáci szervezete – nyíltan rasszista, bevándorlóellenes, antiszemita és LMBTQ-ellenes elvek alapján működik.
Az Egyesült Államokat mélyen aggasztja a faji vagy etnikai alapokra épülő erőszakos szélsőségesség fenyegetése a világban, és eltökélt abban, hogy fellépjen a fehér felsőbbrendűséget hirdető, több országban tevékenykedő szerveződések ellen – áll a közleményben.
Arra is emlékeztettek, hogy az NMR több tagja követett már el támadást politikai szereplők vagy tüntetők ellen, és a csoport fegyveres kiképzéseket is tart.
A mostani döntést Washington európai partnereivel is egyeztette – derült ki a közlésből.
