Meghalt egy ausztrál mesterlövész az ukrajnai háborúban, akit Ninja becenéven ismertek. A 40 éves brisbane-i Trevor Kjeldala még év elején érkezett az országba, most pedig Donbaszban vesztette életét.
Médiainformációk szerint a mesterlövész júliusban olyan súlyosan megsebesült, hogy csak szeptemberben tért vissza a frontra. Kjeldala akkor azt mondta, nem tervezi, hogy visszatér Ausztráliába, Ukrajnában akar maradni, amíg a konfliktus véget nem ér.
A mesterlövész halálát megerősítette az ausztrál külügyminisztérium. Anthony Albanese ausztrál miniszterelnök szombaton részvétét fejezte ki Kjeldala családjának és barátainak.
