Ez a rosszindulatú szoftver bejelentkezési adatokat, jelszavakat, bankkártyákat és kriptovaluta-tárcákat lop, és a nyomozók szerint világszerte több millió felhasználó, valamint a Pentagon vállalkozói elleni támadásokban használták.
A programot legalább 20 nagy oroszul beszélő hackercsoport használta aktívan. A RedLine egyik jellemzője az volt, hogy blokkolta az orosz nyelvet használó felhasználók elleni támadásokat.
2021-ben, miután feltörték az amerikai védelmi minisztérium vállalkozóinak rendszereit, az FBI nemzetbiztonsági fenyegetésként ismerte el a RedLine-t. A nyomozók szerint a vírus több százezer hálózat egymillió eszközét veszélyeztette.

A nyomozás során a hatóságok hozzáférést kaptak a munkácsi nő számítógépéhez. Az elmúlt nap folyamán a hölgyet értesítették az ellene indult eljárásról, a vizsgálatot az SZBU és a megyei ügyészség munkatársai végezték.

Az odesszai Primorszk Kerületi Bíróság 4 év felfüggesztett börtönbüntetésre és súlyosbításként Mihajlo Hrusevszkij Ukrajna-Rusz története című 10 kötetes monográfiájának az elolvasására ítélt egy helyi férfit, aki az Odnoklassznyiki orosz közösségi oldalon szeparatista tartalmú bejegyzéseket írt – számolt be vasárnap az Ukrajinszka Pravda hírportál a bírósági határozatra hivatkozva.
A jelentés szerint július 12-én Denisz Doncov bíró ítéletet hozott egy odesszai lakos ellen, aki Ukrajna területi integritásának a megbontására és alkotmányos rendjének a megdöntésére szólított fel egy orosz közösségi oldalon. Mint a bíróság megállapította, a vádlott 2022. március 30. és május 19. között Ukrajna alkotmányos rendjének a megdöntésére szólított az Odnoklassznyiki közösségi hálózaton.
A bíróság ítélete egy orosz nyelvű bejegyzésre hivatkozik, amelyben a vádlott azt írta: „Harkivot, Mariupolt, Szumit, Dnyipropetrovszkot és más városokat orosz cárok és fejedelmek építették” és hogy Ukrajna egész déli és keleti része „Novorosszija, ahol oroszok élnek, ezért fegyvert kell ragadniuk, és harcolniuk kell a kijevi hatóságoktól való „szabadságukért”, valamint Oroszországhoz történő csatlakozásukért”. A bejegyzést Ukrajna térképének ábrázolása kísérte, amelyen Odessza, Mikolajiv, Herszon, Donyeck, Luhanszk, Zaporizzsja, Dnyipropetrovszk és Harkiv megyék, valamint a Krím vizuálisan az Orosz Föderációhoz van rendelve.
A hírportál szerint a bejegyzések nyilvánosak voltak, és a vádlott állampolgár Odnoklassznyiki oldalán 253 barátja, 260 fényképe és 1200 bejegyzése van. A gyanúsított azonban június 3-án vádalkut kötött az ügyésszel. Mivel bűnösnek vallotta magát és „őszintén megbánta” tettét, nincs súlyosító körülmény, ráadásul először vonják büntetőjogi felelősségre, a bíróság enyhítette a büntetést.
A bíró jóváhagyta a hatósággal kötött vádalkut, és a vádlottat a büntetőtörvénykönyv két cikkelye alapján bűnösnek mondta ki, és 4 év felfüggesztett börtönbüntetésre, valamint Mihajlo Hrusevszkij Ukrajna-Rusz története című monográfiájának elolvasására ítélte. Ezenkívül rendszeresen jelentkeznie kell a rendőrségen ellenőrzésre, és be kell jelentenie, ha el akarja hagyni a lakóhelyét vagy munkahelyet akar változtatni.
