A harbini orosz főkonzulátus tájékoztatása szerint a járvány során jelentős klinikai tapasztalatokat szerzett virológusokat és orvosokat várnak Moszkvába.
Egy nappal korábban Szergej Szobjanyin moszkvai polgármester a helyzet komoly romlására hivatkozva bejelentette, hogy a jövő héttől fokozatosan bejelentéskötelessé teszi a lakosok kijárását, és egyúttal elrendelte a nem létfontosságú szervezetek és vállalatok működésének legalább egyhetes felfüggesztését.
Helyettese, Anasztaszija Rakova azzal magyarázta a szigorításokat, hogy a moszkvaiak nem vették kellőképp komolyan a kötelező önizolálásra vonatkozó előírásokat. Azt mondta, hogy a fővárosi kórházak és mentők teljesítőképességük határán dolgoznak. Dmitrij Peszkov, a Kreml szóvivője a Pervij Kanal tévécsatorna egy szombati műsorában elismerte, hogy a moszkvai egészségügyi intézmények „vészhelyzeti üzemmódban” működnek”.
A polgármester-helyettes elmondta, hogy Moszkvában 40 komputertomográffal felszerelt rendelőt alakítanak át ambuláns fertőzésgyanús páciensek folyamatosan üzemelő diagnosztikai központjává, mert a labortesztek eredménye nem mindig megbízható. Hozzátette, hogy a főváros kórházaiban az eredetileg tervezett 20 ezren felül az elkövetkező két hét alatt pótlólagosan 10 ezer ágyat tesznek alkalmassá a Covid-19-betegek ápolására.
