Könnygázt is bevetett a rendőrség szerdán egy nemzetközi védelmi kiállítás helyszínén összegyűlt háborúellenes tüntetők erőszakos csoportjának megfékezésére az ausztráliai Melbourne-ben; az összecsapásban sok rendőr megsebesült, több tucat tiltakozót letartóztattak – közölte Victoria állam rendőrsége.
A jelentés szerint a szárazföldi katonai erők kétévente megrendezett nemzetközi kiállításának helyszínén palesztin lobogókat lengetve, hangszórókon palesztinpárti jelszavakat skandálva mintegy 1200-an tiltakoztak Izrael Gázai övezetben folytatott katonai fellépése ellen. A tüntetők egy csoportja tüzeket gyújtott az utcán és utakat zárt le, vörös folyadékkal öntötték le a hadiipari expóra érkezőket, az őket védelmezni próbáló rendőröket pedig kövekkel, lótrágyával és folyadékkal töltött palackokkal dobálták meg.
A közlemény kitért arra is, hogy a helyszínre kivezényelt rendőri erők megdöbbentek a háborúellenes tüntetők némelyikének viselkedésén:
néhány rendőrt leköptek, másokat maró anyagot tartalmazó spray-vel fújtak le, a rendőrlovakat pedig pirotechnikai eszközökkel dobálták az erőszakos tiltakozók.
A rendőrség könnygáz- és villanógránátokat, paprikaspray-t és más tömegoszlató eszközöket is bevetett az agresszív tüntetők visszaszorítására. Az összecsapásban több mint húsz rendőr megsebesült, súlyos sérülésekről azonban nem érkezett jelentés. Gyújtogatás, hivatalos személy elleni erőszak és a hatóság munkájának akadályozása, valamint egyéb bűncselekmények gyanújával összesen 33 embert vettek őrizetbe – tudatta a rendőrség. Az ausztrál média szerint hasonló méretű rendőri fellépésre Melbourne-ben utoljára 2000-ben, az akkor szintén a városban megrendezett Világgazdasági Fórum elleni erőszakos utcai tüntetések miatt volt szükség.

Tiltakozó francia termelők rontottak be a párizsi mezőgazdasági vásárra Emmanuel Macron francia elnök tervezett látogatása előtt.
Több tucatnyi rendőr fogadta őket, akikkel aztán üvöltözni és lökdösődni kezdtek, miközben trágárságokat kiabálva követelték Macron távozását. A gazdálkodók növekvő kiadásaik és a szigorodó szabályozások miatt dühösek.
A Reuters szemtanúkra hivatkozó beszámolója szerint egy tüntetőt előállítottak a rendőrök.
A gazdálkodók hetek óta tiltakoznak Franciaországban és szerte Európában jobb jövedelmeket és kisebb bürokráciát követelve, egyben az olcsó import ellen is tiltakozva. Akcióik során autópályákat is lezártak, de ezt a hónap végén felfüggesztették, miután Gabriel Attal miniszterelnök 400 millió euró értékben ígért új támogatásokat. Macron elnök szombaton amúgy szakszervezeteik képviselőivel reggelizett. A tanácskozáson azt üzente a tiltakozóknak, hogy „nem segítenek sem magukon, sem társaikon azzal, hogy standokat borogatnak, vagy hogy megakadályozzák az agrárexpót, mert azzal elriasztják az érdeklődő családokat”.
A Guardian szerint a párizsi agrárexpó kimondottan nagy eseménynek számít Franciaországban, kilenc napja során hatszázezer látogatóval számoltak.

Összecsaptak a rendőrséggel Jair Bolsonaro brazil elnök hívei hétfő éjjel Brazíliavárosban, a tiltakozók a rendőrkapitányság épületét is megpróbálták elfoglalni.
A megmozdulásokról a helyi sajtó is felvételeket tett közzé, több videó és kép pedig a közösségi médiára is felkerült. A rendőrség kordonokat állított fel a rendőrkapitányságtól nem messze található hotel köré, melyben Bolsonaro utódja, a január 1-jén beiktatandó Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva szállt meg – írja az MTI.
Az épület fölött helyszíni beszámolók szerint helikopter is körözött. A következő kormányban az igazságügyi tárca élére kerülő Flávio Dino a sajtónak azt mondta, Lula biztonságban van, „semmilyen veszély nem fenyegeti”, továbbá elfogadhatatlannak nevezte a rendőrkapitányság ostromára tett kísérletet.
A brazil hatóságok azt közölték, a tiltakozások azt követően robbantak ki, hogy a rendőrség le akart tartóztatni egy embert, aki részt vett egy korábbi, Bolsonaro melletti megmozduláson. Bolsonaro hívei az októberi elnökválasztás óta többször vonultak az utcára.
A voksolás eredményét az elnök pártja, a Liberális Párt is megkérdőjelezte, arra hivatkozva, hogy „helyrehozhatatlan szabálytalanságokat” tapasztaltak az elektronikus szavazógépekkel kapcsolatban, amelyek hatással lehettek a végkimenetelre.
Bár a kérvényt november végén elutasították, Bolsonaro támogatóinak egy része továbbra sem ismeri el az elnök vereségét, és átállásra szólították fel a hadsereget.

A Hajduk Split labdarúgócsapatának több száz szurkolója került összetűzésbe a rendőrséggel Zágráb közelében.
A bajnokság utolsó fordulójában a spliti együttes 3–1-es vereséget szenvedett az aranyérmes Dinamo Zagrebtől. A hazafelé úton a szurkolók egy jelentős csoportja autóival blokkolta az A1-es utópályát a fővárostól mintegy harminc kilométerre az egyik pihenőhelynél. A rendőrség lőfegyvert is használva szüntette meg az elzárást.
Hivatalos forrás szerint tucatnyi rendőr szenvedett sérülést, egyes források arról számoltak be, hogy két szurkolót meglőttek.
Az érintett pályaszakaszt még vasárnap reggel sem lehetett használni – írja az MTI.
