A 43 éves nő elmondása szerint arra lett figyelmes, hogy mozog a fű, majd egy csomó rágcsáló támadott rá.”Felkúsztak a lábaimon, le kellett őket rúgnom magamról. Már besötétedett, így nehéz volt látni, honnan jönnek” – mesélte a nő, akinek a kezén és a lábán harapásnyomok és horzsolások keletkeztek a patkányok támadásától.
Susan azt is elmondta, hogy korábban többször járt az ealingi Blondin Parkba, de soha nem látott még patkányokat. Az incidens óta pedig vissza sem mert térni a parkba.
A kerület polgármestere az esetre úgy reagált, hogy az ilyen esetek megelőzése mindenki felelőssége. Az emberek pedig azzal tudnak segíteni, ha a szemetet hazaviszik és a kukába dobják, valamit nem etetik a parkban lévő állatokat, az ételmaradékok ugyanis elég vonzóak a patkányok számára.

Kártevőirtók egyre több patkányészlelésről számoltak be az elmúlt napokban Bécsben. A héten terjedt el egy videó, amelyen az látható, hogy a kukásautó ürítésekor patkányok ugrálnak elő a kocsiból, majd elmenekülnek – írja az oe24.at.
Peter Fiedler, a Bécsi Kereskedelmi Kamara kártevőirtók szakmai ágazati elnöke szerint bár a Covid-járvány idején a higiéniát illetően tudatosabbak lettek az emberek, és a fertőzési láncok kialakulása is sokak számára világossá vált, még előfordul a társasházakban, hogy a tulajdonosok nem gondoskodnak kellő időben a kártevők elleni védekezésről.
A bécsi patkányrendelet szerint a lakástulajdonosok kötelesek gondoskodni a kártevők szakszerű irtásáról. „Sajnos egyes tulajdonosok rendszertelenül intézik a kártevők elleni védekezést, így a patkányok megjelenése és elszaporodása hosszabb ideig észrevétlenül marad, ami a későbbiekben problémákhoz vezethet” – hangsúlyozta Fiedler.
A hulladékok, különösen az élelmiszerek, valamint a háziállatok eledelének megfelelő elhelyezése segíthet megelőzni a kártevők megjelenését a közterületeken – olvasható az oe24.at oldalán megjelent cikkben.
A kártevőket a Brigittenau városrészben észlelték.
