Piros festékkel öntötték le egy vonaton Dmitrij Muratov Nobel-békedíjas orosz újságírót, a Novaja Gazeta című független orosz lap főszerkesztőjét – jelentette be ő maga csütörtökön. A Kreml-kritikus lap egy felvételt is közölt Muratovról, amint arcát, felsőtestét és karjait piros olajfesték fedi.
Az újságíró – beszámolója szerint – a Moszkvából Szamarába tartó vonaton utazott, amikor egy ismeretlen férfi rátámadt, és azt kiáltotta: „Muratov, ezt a mieinkért kapod!”
„A szemem egész borzasztóan ég” – írta Muratov a mikroblogján. Jelezte azt is, hogy igyekszik megmosakodni, de a vagonban továbbra is festékszag van. Egyelőre nem lehet pontosan tudni, mi áll a támadás hátterében, de összefüggésben állhat Oroszország Ukrajna elleni háborújával, amely számos katona életét követelte, és amely miatt Muratov nyíltan bírálta Vlagyimir Putyin orosz elnököt.
A Novaja Gazeta a sajtóval szembeni fellépést szigorító orosz törvény nyomán felfüggesztette a tudósítást az ukrajnai hadműveletről. Az orosz hatóságok egyelőre nem reagáltak az ügyben.
