Pláne, hogy az egyik gyermek áttétes rákkal küzd, őt gyógyszeres kezelés és a kezelőorvosával való konzultáció nélkül toloncoltak ki az országból, pedig a hatóságokat előzetesen értesítették az állapotáról. A szervezet hozzátette, hogy az egyik anya terhes, azonban számára sem biztosított a szülést megelőző megfelelő orvosi ellátás.
A Trump-kormánynak nem ez az első ilyen lépése, márciusban ugyanis egy tízéves agydaganatos, amerikai állampolgársággal rendelkező lányt szállították Texasból Mexikóba a megfelelő papírokkal nem rendelkező szüleivel együtt.
