Az intézmény igazgatójának édesapja meggyőzte fiát, hogy a véres rituálé „jólétet hoz”.
Az indiai Hathras város magániskolájának munkatársai megfojtottak egy diákot, hogy biztosítsák intézményük „jólétét”. A hírt a Daily Mail közölte.
Egy 11 éves kisiskolás apját hívták az iskolából, és közölték vele, hogy gyermeke „beteg”. Ám amikor a férfi megérkezett az iskolába, a fiú már nem volt ott, és a személyzet azt jelentette, hogy az igazgató személyesen vitte kórházba a fiút.
A férfit megzavarta az iskola dolgozóinak gyanús viselkedése, ezért a rendőrséghez fordult. Ugyanezen a napon találtak rá a rendőrök egy gyerek holttestére, aki egész nap az igazgató kocsijában feküdt. A fiún fojtogatás nyomait fedezték fel. A rendőrség azonnal nyomozást indított.
Megállapították, hogy egy magániskola igazgatója három tanárral együtt áldozati szertartást végzett, hogy iskolájuk „felvirágozzon”. A bűncselekmény „felbujtója” az iskolaigazgató édesapja, aki a varázslatok híve. A gyilkosokkal együtt őrizetbe vették.
Később az intézmény területén találtak egy kötelet, amellyel a fiút megfojtották, valamint egy keresztet is.

Egy tyúkot áldoztak fel szerdán a mexikói szenátusnál, hogy vérét felajánlják az azték esőistennek, Tlaloknak, ami felháborodást váltott ki az országban.
A példátlan jelenetet a parlamenti közösségi oldalakon közvetítették, de az élő adás félbeszakadt, miután egy résztvevő dobok hangja közepette elvágta a madár torkát, hogy egy edénybe gyűjtse az állat vérét.
A szertartást Adolfo Gómez szenátor, a kormányzó Nemzeti Ujjászületési Mozgalom (Morena) párt képviselője szervezte, és az eseményt a szenátus intézményi hálózatán keresztül hirdették meg. A szenátus vezető politikusai elhatárolódtak az áldozati szertartástól. A kiadott közlemény szerint a törvényhozás semmilyen formában nem ért egyet a történtekkel, és megteszi a megfelelő intézkedéseket a felelős szenátor ellen.
Gómez ősi szokásokra hivatkozva indokolta az áldozat bemutatását.
A mexikói alkotmány kimondja, hogy az ország őslakosainak hagyományait „tiszteletben kell tartani” – mondta újságíróknak. Állatvédő csoportok szerint rámutattak, hogy Mexikóvárosban tilos az állatok feláldozása és bántalmazása. Az Anima Naturalis Mexico állatvédő szervezet az X-en bejelentette, feljelentést tesz a szenátor ellen, és csütörtökre tüntetésre szólított a szenátus elé, hogy a politikus lemondását követelje. A mexikóiak túlnyomó többsége keresztény, római katolikus.
Óriási a hőség Mexikóban és megdőlt a hőmérsékleti rekord, amit rendkívüli szárazság kísér. A Zumpango-tó is szinte teljesen kiszáradt. Az ország őslakosainak hagyományait tiszteletben tartják, a tavaszi napéjegyenlőség ünnepe is minden évben megrendezésre kerül, a mexikói romvárosban hőlégballonokkal ünneplik az eseményt.
