Iránban bebörtönöztek két svéd állampolgárt kábítószer-csempészet gyanújával – adta hírül kedden a teheráni igazságszolgáltatás a honlapján.
A közlés szerint Teherán értesítette Svédország Iránban akkreditált nagykövetségét az esetről. Arra, hogy milyen fajta és mennyi kábítószer volt a két svéd állampolgárnál, nem tért ki a tájékoztatás.
Az AP amerikai hírügynökség megjegyzi, hogy Iránon keresztül vezet az ópiumot Afganisztánból Európába csempészők egyik fő útvonala, és hogy a perzsa ország hatóságai minden évben több száz tonna narkotikumot – főleg ópiumot – koboznak el. (MTI)
