Az orosz belügyminisztérium körözötté nyilvánította Szergej Szaveljevet, aki börtönben készült kínzásokat bemutató videókat szivárogtatott ki egy emberi jogi csoportnak – derült ki a honlapján található adatbázisból szombaton.
A Gulagu.net nevű emberi jogi csoport szerint a Szaveljev által továbbított videofájlok kínzásokat és szexuális bántalmazásokat egyaránt mutatnak a Moszkvától mintegy 700 kilométerre délkeletre fekvő Szaratov régió egyik börtönében.
A Reuters értesülései szerint öt magas rangú börtöntisztviselőt elbocsátottak, és számos büntetőeljárás indult azóta, hogy a Gulagu.net ebben a hónapban elkezdte közzétenni a videókat. Az adatbázis nem részletezte, hogy a 31 éves fehérorosz Szaveljevet milyen bűncselekmény miatt körözik.
A Gulagu.net által szombaton közzétett videókommentárban Szaveljev azt mondta, hogy nem lepődött meg, és hogy most Franciaországban van.
“Készültem rá, de ez nem kellemes”
Szaveljev, aki programozóként a börtönben töltött ideje alatt segített a helyi számítógépes hálózat és a videokamerák működtetésében, felvetette, hogy Oroszország esetleg államtitkok felfedésével akarja megvádolni:
“Tekintettel az általunk már nyilvánosságra hozott információkra, szeretném hinni, hogy elismerik a kínzással kapcsolatos tényeket, és megpróbálják megoldani a kínzás kérdését, miközben megpróbálják kezelni az államtitkok felfedésének kérdését”.
A Gulagu.net szerint a Szaveljev által átadott dokumentumok, fotók és videók azt bizonyítják, hogy az orosz börtönrendszerben több száz embert kínoztak vagy erőszakoltak meg más rabok a börtönőrök irányításával. A Gulagu.net közölte, hogy Szaveljev politikai menedékjogot kér Franciaországban, és hogy az általa átadott anyagokat továbbítja az Interpolnak.
