A Szuezi-csatornaért felelős hatóság közleményben közölte, hogy a 295 méter hosszú BW Lesmes nevű, szingapúri zászló alatt közlekedő, cseppfolyósított földgázt szállító tartályhajó kedd este meghibásodott és zátonyra futott, miközben áthaladt a csatornán. Ezt követően a 250 méter hosszú Burri, a Kajmán-szigetek lobogója alatt közlekedő, kőolajszármazékot szállító tartályhajó nekiütközött a meghibásodott hajónak. A hatóság közlése szerint a szingapúri hajót sikerült elvontatni, míg a kajmán-szigeteki hajó eltávolítása jelenleg is folyamatban van.
A BW Lesmes tartályhajó üzemeltetője közleményben tudatta, hogy a legénység minden tagja biztonságban van, nem történt sérülés és nem került szennyező kőolajszármazék a vízbe.
A két tartályhajó egy konvoj része volt, amely a Földközi-tengerről a Vörös-tenger felé haladt át a csatornán.
A Szuezi-csatornát felügyelő vállalat szerdán közölte, hogy az incidens 21, dél felé tartó hajó áthaladását akadályozta.
„Azonnal elhárítottuk a meghibásodásokat és a következő órákban mindkét irányban helyreáll a forgalom” – közölte Oszama Rabej admirális, a csatornaügyi hatóság vezetője az ütközést követően.
2021 márciusában a panamai zászló alatt közlekedő Ever Given konténerszállító a csatorna egysávos szakaszán a partnak ütközött, hat napra elzárva a vízi útvonalat, ezzel teljesen megbénítva a globális kereskedelmet.

A Fahd nevű vontatóhajó fedélzetén hét ember tartózkodott – közölte a csatornahatóság vezetője, Osama Rabie egy közleményben, hozzátéve, hogy a mentési munkálatok folyamatban vannak, és egy darut küldtek az elsüllyedt hajó kiemelésére.
Rabie elmondta, hogy az ütközés akkor történt, amikor a tartályhajó Ballah térségében tartózkodott, dél felé tartott a Szingapúrból az Egyesült Államokba tartó útja során.

A tartályhajó a Szuezi-csatorna egysávos szakaszán hibásodott meg, ám szerencsére relatíve gyorsan sikerült orvosolni a problémát.
George Safwat, az egyiptomi Szuezi-csatorna hatósági szóvivője megosztotta, a máltai zászló alatt közlekedő Seavigour névre keresztelt tartályhajó a csatorna 12 kilométeres szakaszán szenvedett technikai meghibásodást, mely a Földközi-tenger irányából a Vörös-tenger irányába haladt.
Oszama Rabei admirális, a Szuezi-csatorna hatósági vezetője egy helyi televíziónak adott telefonos interjúban elárulta, a tartályhajó meghibásodása miatt a mögötte haladó 8 hajó áthaladását zavarta meg. Pár órával később azonban már arról jelentett, hogy a közlekedés helyreállt, miután 3 vontatóhajó a kétsávos szakaszra húzta ki a tartályhajót.
A hajó legénysége jelenleg is a probléma megoldásán dolgozik, ám ennél több részletet nem kívántak közölni az illetékes hatóságok. Ez a vasárnapi volt a legutóbbi incidens, amikor egy hajó elakadását jelentették a globálisan is létfontosságú vízi úton.
Mint ismert, a közelmúltban számos hajó zárta el rövid időre a csatornát hasonló problémák miatt, s ahogy arról korábban is beszámoltunk, 2021 márciusában a panamai zászló alatt közlekedő Ever Given, egy gigantikus konténerszállító hajó ütközött a partnak az egysávos szakaszon, ezzel hat napra megakasztva a forgalmat és a globális kereskedelmet.

A VesselFinder és a MarineTraffic nyomkövető rendszerek adatai szerint egy Marshall-szigeteki zászló alatt közlekedő hajóról van szó. Az ukrán gabonakivitelt felügyelő isztambuli székhelyű Közös Koordinációs Központ (JCC) szerint a hajó december 25-én indult el az ukrajnai Csornomorszk kikötőjéből Kínába 65 970 tonna kukoricával.
Az ENSZ, Törökország, Ukrajna és Oroszország képviselőiből álló JCC közölte, hogy a hajó január 3-i ellenőrzése után kapott engedélyt Isztambulban a továbbutazásra. A Szuezi-csatorna a világ egyik legforgalmasabb vízi útvonala és a legrövidebb hajózási útvonal Európa és Ázsia között.
A legfrissebb információk szerint a Szuezi-csatornán az akadályokat elhárították, „a forgalom újra normális”.

Mint ismert: a cég konténerhajója, az Ever Given tavaly tavasszal elakadt a Szuezi-csatornában, megbénítva ezzel a tengeri útvonalat.
Ezúttal az Ever Forward nevű hajó került bajba. A 330 méter hosszú jármű Baltimore városából tartott Norfolkba, amikor megakadt a sekély vízben még vasárnap éjjel.
Az amerikai hatóságok közlése szerint senki sem sérült meg a balesetben és a hajó sem rongálódott meg.
Óriási szerencse, hogy ezúttal egyetlen hajó útját sem korlátozza az elakadt óriás.

Az egyiptomi hatóságok szerint egy panamai ömlesztettáru-szállító hajó zárta el az utat a csatorna egyik kétsávos szakaszán, ami miatt négy hajót kellett átirányítani a párhuzamos sávba.
A megfeneklett teherhajót vontatóhajókkal sikerült kiszabadítani.
A 225 méter hosszú, 32 méter széles, 43 ezer tonnás Coral Crystal ezt követően folytathatta útját Szudánba.
A Szuezi-csatorna köti össze a Földközi-tengert a Vörös-tengerrel. A szállítási útvonal jelenti egyben Egyiptom legnagyobb bevételi forrását a turizmus mellett.
Márciusban 6 napig az Ever Given blokkolta a Szuezi-csatornát
A mostani eset kapcsán hírügynökségek felidézték a 440 méter hosszú, több mint 200 ezer tonnás Ever Givennel történteket.
A világ egyik legnagyobb konténerszállító hajója március 23-án erős szélben átlósan beszorult a csatorna egyik szűk, déli szakaszában, aminek következtében teljesen leállt a forgalom az Európa és Ázsia közötti legrövidebb hajózási útvonalon.
A mentési műveletek akkor hat napig tartottak, és több mint egytucat vontatóhajó vett részt a munkában. A csatorna medrét is kimélyítették, hogy kiszabadítsák a beszorult konténerszállítót.
A hatóságok szerint Egyiptom napi 12-15 millió dollárt veszített a csatorna lezárásával.
Emellett a hatóság egyik alkalmazottja életét vesztette a mentési műveletek során, és károk keletkeztek a partburkolatban.
A hat nap alatt 422 hajót kellett feltartóztatni, fedélzetükön több mint 26 millió tonna áruval.
Az Allianz biztosító szerint a tengeri kereskedelem számára okozott veszteségek elérték a napi 6-10 milliárd dollárt.
