Az orosz hadsereg több alkalommal kazettás bombát vetett be Ukrajnában – jelentette be ENSZ hiteles információkra hivatkozva. Azokat a vádakat, melyek szerint az orosz fegyveres erők lakott területeket lőnek az ostromlott városokban, főként Mariupolban, a világszervezet emberi jogi szakértői vizsgálják.
Kinevezett három emberi jogi szakértőt az ENSZ Emberi Jogi Tanácsa szerdán, hogy vizsgálják ki az Ukrajnában elkövetett feltételezett háborús bűnöket.
„Hitelt érdemlő információkat kapott a hivatalom arról, hogy az orosz hadsereg kazettás bombát vetett be lakott területeken legalább 24 alkalommal” – közölte az ENSZ emberi jogi főbiztosa. „Szintén vizsgáljuk azokat a vádakat, amelyek szerint az ukrán hadsereg is használt ilyen fegyvereket. Otthonokat, hivatalokat, kórházakat és iskolákat, víztározókat sem kíméltek.”
Moszkva tagadja, hogy az orosz hadsereg polgári személyeket vett volna célba, és azt állítja, hogy ukrán katonák több alkalommal bántalmaztak elfogott oroszokat. Az emberi jogi szakértők azt is kivizsgálják, igazak-e a vádak, amelyek szerint evakuálás címén több ezer embert hurcoltak el Mariupolból Oroszországba.
