Kedden több ezren – vélhetően a Kanadából jelentett hasonló megmozdulások hatására – teherautókkal érkeztek a parlamenthez, így fejezve ki elégedetlenségüket a szigorú járványügyi rendeletek ellen.
Új-Zélandon több szektorban kötelezővé tették a koronavírus elleni oltást, és oltási igazoláshoz kötik a többi között a vendéglátóhelyek, a templomok és az edzőtermek látogatását is.
Az országnak a koronavírus-világjárvány nagyobb részében a szigorú rendelkezéseknek köszönhetően sikerült feltartóztatnia a kórokozó terjedését, és a mintegy 18 ezer igazolt fertőzés mellett 53 halálesetet regisztráltak a járvánnyal összefüggésben az ötmillió lakosú országban.
