 Orosz híradások szerint a repülőgép azután hajtott végre kényszerleszállást, hogy meghibásodott az egyik motorja.
 A Kedrovij városából a megyeszékhelyre, Tomszkba tartó járaton 19 ember tartózkodott, mindannyian életben vannak. Katasztrófavédelmi források elmondták, hogy senki sem sérült meg súlyosan, az utasokat és a legénységet pedig tomszki kórházakba szállítják.
 A szibériai légi kutató-mentő központ meg nem nevezett illetékese szerint a gépet vezető pilóta eltörte a lábát, a többiek horzsolásokat szenvedtek, sokkos állapotba kerültek, de nem szenvedtek súlyos sérüléseket.

 A gépre mentőhelikopterek bukkantak rá egy mezőn, nem sokkal azután, hogy eltűnt a radarképernyőkről a nyugat-szibériai Tomszk megyében. A legénység nem jelentett meghibásodást a járat eltűnése előtt, mindazonáltal a gép vészjelző rendszere működésbe lépett.
 A gép a turbópropelleres gépekkel regionális járatokat bonyolító, SiLA nevű kis légitársaság flottájához tartozik.
 Kevesebb mint két hete, július 6-án egy hasonló, An-26-os repülőgép a távol-keleti Kamcsatka-félszigeten rossz látási körülmények között sziklának ütközött, és az Ohotszki-tengerbe zuhant 22 utassal és hatfős személyzettel a fedélzetén. Azt a katasztrófát senki sem élte túl.
 Kilenc éve, 2012-ben szintén egy An-28-as járt szerencsétlenül Tomszk felett, tíz ember halálát okozva. Az akkori vizsgálatok szerint a gép mindkét pilótája ittas volt a baleset idején.
