Öt német hegymászó vesztette életét, miután lavina sújtotta őket az olasz Alpokban, jelentette a Reuters.
A hegymászók november 1-jén, szombaton kezdték meg a Sima Vertana hegy megmászását az Ortler-hegységben, Solda falu közelében. A lavina akkor sújtott le, amikor a csúcs felé haladtak.
A lavina két különálló hegymászócsoportot sodort el. Két férfi és egy nő holttestét szombaton, két további ember, egy apa és 17 éves lánya holttestét pedig vasárnap találták meg.
Két másik hegymászót sérülés nélkül mentettek ki.
Az Ortler-hegység, amely az olasz Alpok része a svájci határ közelében, népszerű célpont a tapasztalt túrázók és hegymászók számára.

A Mount Everest keleti oldalán tomboló hóvihar után sikerült kimenteni minden túrázót és hegyi vezetőt. A Mount Everest térségében szokatlanul nagy havazás bénította meg a térséget, de a hatóságoknak sikerült mindenkit biztonságba helyezni.
Sikerült kimenteni a hirtelen zordra fordult időjárás miatt a Mount Everest tibeti oldalán a hó fogságába esett összes túrázót, az őket kísérő hegyi vezetőkkel és más segítőkkel együtt – közölte kedden este a kínai állami média a helyi kormányzatot idézve.
A régióban szombat este tört ki hatalmas vihar szokatlanul nagy havazással, és elvágta a több mint 4000 méteres magasságban a Karma-völgyben táborozó túrázókhoz vezető utakat.
A hét végén mintegy 580 túrázó, több mint 300 hegyi vezető, jakpásztor és más segítő rekedt a hegyen, miközben a sátraik összeroskadtak a nagy hó alatt.
A helyi hatóságok közlése szerint a túrázók közül mintegy 350-en már hétfőn megérkeztek a hegy lábához a menedéket nyújtó faluba, Csütangba, és másnap a többieket is sikerült oda eljuttatni.
A rendkívül nedves és hideg idő miatt a hegyen néhányan a beszámolók szerint hipotermiás állapotba kerültek, őket élelmiszerrel, gyógyszerrel, oxigénnel és melegítő felszereléssel ellátott kísérőkkel segítették le a menedékhelyre.
A szélsőséges időjárás miatt a Mount Everest tibeti régióját átmenetileg lezárták a túrázók elől.
A régióba a szerdán befejeződő nyolcnapos nemzeti ünnep miatt érkezett különösen sok túrázó. A Hszinhua állami hírügynökség szerint mindenkit sikerült biztonságba helyezni.
A hatóságok több száz embert mozgósítottak, akik lovakkal és jakokkal vettek részt a mentőakcióban.

Három ember életét vesztette villámcsapás következtében egy túrázás során Tirolban. A rendőrség tájékoztatása szerint egy házaspár és a feleség 62 éves testvére vasárnap indult útnak a 2635 méter magas Mittagsspitze irányába, amikor hirtelen vihar csapott le a térségre – számolt be róla a Kronen Zeitung-ra hivatkozva az Origo.
A túrázók visszafordultak, de nem értek haza, ezért a hozzátartozóik értesítették a hatóságokat.
A rendőrök kutatócsapatok és a hegyi mentők segítségével indultak a túrázók felkutatására.
Az eltűnt túrázókat az egyik helikopter találta meg egy ösvény közelében mintegy 2268 méteres magasságban. A helyszínre érkező mentőorvos már nem tudta megmenteni az életüket.
Az orvosszakértő közlése szerint mindhárom túrázót halálos villámcsapás érte.

A túrázók szombat reggel indultak el, hogy megmásszák a Helmosz-hegységet, ám soha nem térhettek már haza.
Három halott hegymászot találtak vasárnap este a népszerű görög sítelep, Kalavrita közelében – közölte a helyi tűzoltóság. Az egyik görög hírügynökség szerint a negyvenes-ötvenes éveikben járó görög állampolgároknak szombaton veszett nyomuk, amikor elindultak megmászni egy 2355 méteres Helmosz-hegységben.
Miután nem érkezett a hegymászók felől hír, a tűzoltók a keresésükre indultak, vasárnap hosszú órákon át, helikopterek segítségével kutattak a hegységben.
Végül az egyik helikopterből észrevették a hegymászók felszerelését a hóban, majd utána a holttestekre is rábukkantak. A hatóságok vizsgálatot indítottak az ügyben. Azt gyanítják, hogy halálukat lavina okozhatta – írta az ATV.

A jelentés szerint az eset a Nadvirnyanszki járás Voronenka nevű településének közelében történt, amikor egy 12 fős turistacsoport tábortüzet rakott, és egy ismeretlen tárgy felrobbant. A detonációtól két kiránduló meghalt, három megsebesült, egy légnyomás okozta sérülést szenvedett. Csütörtök reggel a sérülteket lehozták a hegy lábához, majd kórházba szállították.
A sebesültek keresésére és szállítására a katasztrófavédelem 30 munkatársát és 6 járművét vezényelték ki.

Nyomozást indított a szlovák rendőrség egy férfi halálának az ügyében, akinek a holttestét Lučatín községnél (Besztercebányai járás) találták meg a Garam folyóban.
Egy társaság a folyón csónakázott, amikor egy sekélyebb részen egy férfi holttestére lettek figyelmesek a vízben. Amikor közelebb értek, a vártnál is borzalmasabb látvány fogadta őket – a holttestnek hiányzott a feje.
A testet a tűzoltók húzták ki a partra, a rendőrség lezárta a környéket és rögzítette a nyomokat. Mivel a közelben vasúti sínek húzódnak, a rendőrség lassította a vasúti forgalmat. A tűzoltók csónakkal kutatták át a folyópartot a fej után kutatva, amit aztán több méterre a helyszíntől meg is találtak. Az illető személyazonossága ismeretlen.
Egyelőre nem tisztázott, hogy a férfi milyen körülmények között vesztette életét, a halál pontos okának kiderítése érdekében törvényszéki boncolást rendeltek el. A rendőrség halálokozás ügyében indított eljárást.

Két túrázó, Jessica O’Connor és Dion Reynolds május 9-én indult az új-zélandi Déli-Szigeten elterülő Kahurangi Nemzeti Parkban kirándulni, és öt nap múlva kellett volna visszatérniük. Egy ismerősük kilenc napra rá jelentette az eltűnésüket – közölte a rendőrség.
Öt túraszakértő, három keresőkutyás csoport és két mentőhelikopter indult a felkutatásukra. A hét elején a rossz időjárás nehezítette a dolgukat. Egy mentőhelikopter csak szerda délután talált rá a párra. Kivizsgálásra kórházba szállították őket, de csak kisebb sérüléseket szenvedtek.
Mindketten 23 évesek és tapasztalt túrázók. A rendőrség szerint az első jelek arra utalnak, hogy már a barangolásuk első napjaiban eltévedtek, és úgy döntöttek, hogy nem mozdulnak arról a helyről, ahol ráeszméltek erre. Mire megtalálták őket 18 nappal az indulásuk után, már elfogyott az élelmük.
Kahurangi a szigetország második legnagyobb nemzeti parkja, 4520 négyzetkilométer kiterjedésű, körülbelül akkora, mint Veszprém megye, és egyes területein nincsenek kijelölt turistaösvények. Ott forgatták a Gyűrűk Ura filmtrilógia egyes jeleneteit.
