Amszterdamban a hatóságok 8500 kilogramm illegális tűzijátékot fedeztek fel egy raktárban, ahol a nyomozók egy teljesen más ügy kapcsán végeztek vizsgálatot – számol be a NL Times.
A rendőrök eredetileg azért érkeztek a raktárhoz, hogy egy járművet lefoglaljanak egy másik nyomozás keretében, amikor több raklapra felhalmozott tűzijátékra bukkantak.
A lefoglalt anyagot elkobozták, majd megsemmisítették. Jelenleg a tűzijátékokkal kapcsolatos nyomozás során senkit nem tartóztattak le.
„Az illegális tűzijátékok értékesítése és tárolása potenciális veszélyt jelent az emberek életére, mivel nagy a tűz- és robbanásveszély, ami akár egész városrészekre is kiterjedő kockázatot hordozhat. Ezért a rendőrség felhívja a lakosság figyelmét, hogy jelentsenek minden gyanús illegális tárolást” – áll a rendőrség közleményében.
Amszterdamban teljes tilalom van érvényben a tűzijátékok használatára, kivéve a gyermekeknek szánt pirotechnikai termékeket. A város várja a 2026-ra tervezett országos tilalom bevezetését. Ezzel párhuzamosan az újévi ünnepségek során profi tűzijáték-show-kat szerveznek.
Felrobbant és leégett egy tűzijáték-lerakat Erdélyben, a Brassó megyei Zernest városban szerda este. A balesetben egy ember meghalt, kettőt pedig füstmérgezéssel vittek kórházba.
A 300 négyzetméteres raktárban mintegy 600 kilogrammnyi tűzveszélyes anyagot tároltak. Az első robbanás nyomán valamennyi tűzijáték sorra felrobbant: a percekig tartó robbanássorozatban a lángok több emeletnyi magasságba csaptak fel és sűrű fekete füst borította be a környéket. A tűzoltók egy órán belül megfékezték a lángokat.
A baleset azért is nagy riadalmat keltett, mert a tüzérségi lőszert is gyártó zernesti fegyvergyár közvetlen közelében történt.
