Az ukrán erők az elmúlt nap folyamán tíz fronton verték vissza az orosz támadásokat, a legnagyobb intenzitású tevékenységet a pokrovszki fronton regisztrálták – közölte az Ukrán Fegyveres Erők vezérkara pénteken a Facebookon az augusztus 9. reggel 8 órai információk szerint. A harctéren csütörtökön összesen 101 harci összecsapásra került sor.
A harkivi fronton az oroszok folytatták akcióikat a beszámoló szerint, Vovcsanszk város közelében hat harci összecsapásra került sor. A kupjanszki fronton három orosz támadást jegyeztek fel, a limani fronton az ukrán katonák 24, a sziverszki fronton 13 orosz támadást vertek vissza. A kramatorszki fronton az ukrán erők tíz orosz kísérletet akadályoztak meg a védelem áttörésére Csasziv Jar és Kalinyivka települések közelében.

A torecki fronton az oroszok repülőgépek támogatásával kilenc támadást hajtottak végre, a pokrovszki fronton az ukrán védők 29 orosz támadást vertek vissza. A kurahovi fronton az ukrán védelmi erők továbbra is visszatartják az oroszokat Krasznohorivka és Kosztantyinivka települések közelében, az oroszok háromszor is megpróbálták áttörni a védelmet. A vremivkai fronton az oroszok három sikertelen támadást hajtottak végre az ukrán állások ellen, az orihivi fronton egy sikertelen harci összecsapásra került sor.
A volinyi és a polissziai fronton nincs nyoma támadó orosz csoportok kialakulásának, a Csernyihivi és Szumi terület határán az oroszok fenntartják katonai jelenlétüket, jelentősen növelve a repülőgépek aktivitását.

Az ukrán védelmi erők péntek délelőtt megállították az orosz offenzívát Harkiv irányában – jelentette be Volodimir Zelenszkij elnök, tájékoztatott az rbc.ua hírportál az Ukrinform hírügynökségre hivatkozva.
A jelentés szerint az elnök közölte: „Reggel 7-8 óráig heves tüzérségi csata zajlott. Ekkor megállították az oroszok offenzíváját.” Mint jelezte, az ukrán fegyveres erők készen állnak az oroszok ilyen akcióira.
„Ukrajna felvette velük a harcot a csapatainkkal, dandárjainkkal és tüzérségünkkel. Fontos, hogy ebben az irányban növelni tudták az erőiket, de a katonaságunk, a mi parancsnokságunk tudott erről, és úgy számították ki az erőinket, hogy tűzzel szálljanak szembe az ellenséggel.
