Több mint kétszázan sérültek meg Hegyi-Karabahban egy üzemanyagtározónál történt robbanásban – közölte hétfőn az örmény 24News hírportál az örmények lakta régió ombudsmanjára hivatkozva.
A halálos áldozatok pontos számát egyelőre nem tudni. Gegam Sztepanján szerint a sérültek nagy része súlyos állapotban van és át kell őket szállítani légi úton máshova, mert helyben nincs lehetőség ennyi ember megfelelő ellátására.
A robbanás helyi idő szerint este nyolc órakor az Aszkeran-Sztyepanakert útvonal mentén történt. A tározónál azért voltak sokan, mert a térség kilenc hónapja blokád alatt állt és súlyos üzemanyaghiány alakult ki.
Most viszont helyi örmények ezrei próbálják elhagyni a hegyvidéki régiót Örményország felé, miután az azerbajdzsáni hadsereg egy gyors hadművelettel fegyverletételre kényszerítette a szakadár térség fegyvereseit a múlt héten.
