Száznyolcvanhárom kilométer/órát meghaladó sebességű széllökésekkel érkezett meg a Brit-szigetekre az évszázad vihara. Az Ír Köztársaság északi részén, Raphoe kisvárosban egy férfi életét vesztette, amikor a szélvihar egy fát döntött autójára.
Az utóbbi évek legnagyobb vihara érte el pénteken a Brit-szigeteket. Estig az orkánnak egy halálos áldozata volt, a szélvihar országszerte jelentős fennakadásokat okozott a közlekedésben és az áramellátásban – írja az MTI.
A brit kormány már előző este figyelmeztetést küldött csaknem 5 millió ember mobiltelefonjára, miután a brit meteorológiai intézet a legmagasabb szintű, vörös riasztást adott ki ezekre a térségekre.
Az Ír Köztársaságban, valamint Nagy-Britanniában és Észak-Írországban péntek estig több mint egymillióan maradtak áram nélkül.
Az Éowyn névre keresztelt vihar csúcspontján 183 kilométer/órás rekordsebességű széllökést mértek Íroroszágban. Az ír áramszolgáltatási felügyelet beszámolója szerint az ítéletidő „példátlan mértékű, kiterjedt” károkat okozott az elosztóhálózatban.
Pénteken Észak-Írországban és Skóciában is 160 kilométer/órát meghaladó sebességű széllökéseket észleltek a mérőállomások. Az Ír Köztársaság északi részén, Raphoe kisvárosban egy férfi életét vesztette, amikor a szélvihar egy fát döntött autójára.
Szinte minden járatot töröltek
A vihar miatt a brit és az ír repülőtereken péntek estig 1070 járatot töröltek; ez a két ország teljes napi menetrendszerű légiforgalmának 20 százaléka. A járattörlések a hatósági becslések szerint 150 ezer utast érintettek.
A törölt pénteki járatok között volt a Ryanair légitársaság Budapest és Dublin, illetve Dublin és Budapest viszonylaton közlekedő járatpárja is.
Csaknem az összes pénteki járatot törölték a skóciai főváros, Edinburgh, a legnagyobb skót város, Glasgow, valamint az észak-írországi főváros, Belfast nemzetközi repülőterein is. Edinburgh repülőterén a törlés által nem érintett ritka kivételek között volt a Ryanair Budapestről érkező reggeli gépe, de ez a járat is csak a második kísérletre tudott leszállni a skót fővárosban.
Közösségimédia-felületeken látható egy videófelvétel, amely a Budapestről Edinburghba érkező péntek reggeli Ryanair-járat második, sikeres leszállási kísérletét mutatja. A felvételen jól látszik, hogy a Boeing 737-es másodszorra is csak küszködve, a viharos oldalszélnek erősen ellentartva tudott landolni.
Nemzedékenként egyszer fordul elő
Észak-Írországban minden iskolában tanítási szünetet rendeltek el, és bezártak a két legnagyobb áruházlánc, a Lidl és a Tesco helyi boltjai, valamint a kormányzati intézmények többsége. Töröltek a vihar miatt számos kompjáratot is Észak-Írország, az Ír Köztársaság és Nagy-Britannia között.
A vörös riasztást Skóciában péntek estére feloldotta a meteorológiai szolgálat. John Swinney skót miniszterelnök azonban az edinburghi kormány ülése utáni nyilatkozatában hangsúlyozta, hogy a vihar még korántsem ért véget, és továbbra is erősen ajánlott az elővigyázatosság.
Swinney azt kérte a lakosságtól, hogy lehetőség szerint senki ne induljon hosszabb utazásra, mert a vörös riasztás feloldása ellenére még éjszaka és szombat reggel is erős szél várható.
Judith Ralston, a BBC médiatársaság meteorológiai hírszolgáltatásának vezető szakértője pénteken úgy fogalmazott, hogy ilyen erejű vihar „nemzedékenként egyszer” éri el a Brit-szigeteket.

Szélsőséges az időjárás több helyen is Európában. Hollandiában az ország történetének legsúlyosabb nyári vihara tombol: a több mint 140 kilométer per órás széllökések hatalmas károkat okoztak, egy ember meghalt, a közlekedés megbénult. Szlovéniában sziklaomlások pusztítanak, Németországban és Romániában pedig mindeközben a rendkívüli hőséggel küzdenek.
Az északi-tenger partján fekvő országban, Hollandiában jelenleg is tombol a Poly, az ország történetének legsúlyosabb nyári vihara.
Három tartományra is vörös riasztást adtak ki, az ország nyugati partszakaszán, Scheveningen környékén pedig óránkénti 145 kilométeres széllökéseket mértek. Haarlemben egy nő meghalt, miután egy fa rádőlt a kocsijára.
Több autópályát lezártak a leszakadt faágak miatt, számos tartományban pedig a vasúti forgalom is szünetel. Az amszterdami nemzetközi repülőtér mintegy 300 járatát törölte.
Szlovéniában is súlyos vihar tombol. Az orkánerejű szél fákat döntött ki, és legalább negyven épület tetőszerkezetét rongálta meg. A nagy mennyiségű csapadék számos helyen áradásokat is előidézett. Összesen 16 tűzoltóbrigádot rendeltek ki a károk elhárítására.
Több szlovéniai településről sziklaomlásokat jelentettek, a lezúduló törmelék sok helyen okozott balesetet.
Egy távolsági busznak olyan erővel csapódott neki egy leguruló szikladarab, hogy a jármű kisodródott, két utas pedig megsérült.
Egy vonat kisiklott a sínekre omlott kőtörmelék miatt, az utasok sérülések nélkül megúszták a balesetet.
Eközben Romániában még mindig a napok óta tartó hőhullámmal küzdenek. Bukarestben a hőmérséklet kedden már elérte a 39 fokot. Konstanca környékén az emberek elözönlötték a strandokat, hogy könnyebben átvészeljék a meleget.
A rendkívüli hőségben a növényeknek is több vízre van szükségük, azonban több ezer család nem tudja használni a kerti kutakat. Az elmúlt hetekben történt áradások óta sok helyen nem tiszta a víz.
„A kútvíz azért zavaros, mert az áradások óta szennyezett víz került a kutakba. De amíg nem érkeznek meg a hatósági vizsgálatok eredményei, nem tudjuk, pontosan, mi van benne” – mondta Ion Popescu, a délnyugat-romániai Dragutesti polgármestere.
Németországban is súlyos gondot okoz a hőhullám. A szakértők szerint a városokat különösen sújtják a hőhullámok, mivel a beépített részeken megreked a hőség.
Egy idős asszony, Elke Schilling telefonos segélyvonalat hozott létre azok számára, akik úgy érzik, már nem bírják tovább a hőséget. „Attól tartanak, hogy még melegebb lesz, és nem tudnak kimenni a lakásból. Kérik, hogy segítsek nekik ételt szerezni, bevásárolni” – mondta az asszony.
A berlini minisztérium szerint a hőhullámok egyre gyakoribbá válnak. Szakértők szerint ezen leginkább az enyhítene, ha a városokban több zöld területet alakítanának ki. Az emberek attól félnek, hogy az idei nyár a tavalyinál is forróbb lehet – akkor több mint négyezren haltak meg a kánikula miatt.

Az erős vihar sárcsuszamlásokat váltott ki és elektromos vezetékeket szakított le, miközben a szél San Franciscót is elérte. Az áradást hozó eső és erős szél kísérte időjárási jelenség egy légköri folyó, amely a Csendes-óceán felől behúzódó hosszú és széles nedvességtömeg, amely az előrejelzések szerint a következő napokban dél felé fog haladni. Helyenként akár 25 centiméternyi eső hullhat a nyugati partvidéken – mondta Marc Chenard meteorológus a nemzeti meteorológiai szolgálattól.
A San Franciscó-i öböl térségéből áradásokat jelentettek, Berkeley-ben utcákat zártak le. Vasárnap reggel a San Franciscótól északra fekvő Tamalpais-hegyen az előző 12 óra alatt több mint 15 centiméternyi csapadék hullott – közölte a meteorológiai szolgálat a Twitteren.
Mintegy 240 kilométerrel északabbra a kaliforniai autópálya-rendőrség lezárta a 70-es állami utat Butte megyében a sárcsuszamlások miatt. A heves időjárási csapás Kalifornia történetének legforgalmasabb erdőtűzszezonját követi, és fokozza a hirtelen áradások veszélyét. A régió nagy részén súlyos, szélsőséges vagy kivételes szárazság uralkodik az amerikai szárazságfigyelő intézet szerint. A leégett területeken a víz gyorsabban elfolyik, így ott a legnagyobb a hirtelen áradások, a villámárvizek kockázata – mondta Chenard.
A San Franciscótól északkeletre, a Sierra Nevada hegységben található, rögös hegységben keletkezett tűz – az állam történelmének második legnagyobb erdőtüze – által letarolt 230 670 hektárnyi terület egyes részeiről már többször jelentettek sárcsuszamlásokat – tette hozzá Chenard.
Az óránkénti 97 kilométert meghaladó széllökések San Franciscóban és Sacramento környékén áramkimaradásokat idéztek elő. A Twitter közösségi oldalra a lakosok által feltett fényképeken az volt látható, hogy A kidőlt közműpóznák autókat törtek össze és elzárták az utakat. A térségben akár 13 centiméternyi eső is lehet.
Egyes helyeken a helyi hatóságok evakuálásra szólítják fel lakosokat. Azt írták ha veszélyben érzi magukat, ne tétovázzanak. Ha lekésték a megfelelő menekülési pillanatot, menjenek magasabban fekvő területre.
Sacramentóban homokzsákokat osztogattak és evakuációs központokat nyitottak. A helyi katasztrófavédelmi hivatal óvatosságra intette a lakosokat. Chenard szerint a magasabban fekvő területeken havazás várható. A ciklon hétfőn fokozatosan dél felé mozdul el Közép-Kalifornia felé.

Több mit 250 ezer háztartásban szünetelt az áramszolgáltatás csütörtökön Franciaország északi részén az éjszakai viharos időjárást követően, és fennakadások voltak a vasúti és a közúti közlekedésben.
Elsősorban Normandiában voltak fennakadások délelőtt az áramszolgáltatásban az Aurore elnevezésű vihar nyomán. A szolgáltatás helyreállításán mintegy 3 ezren dolgoztak – jeleztek közleményében az Enedis villamosenergia közmű vállalat.
A közösségi oldalakon az internetezők számos fotót osztottak meg a közutakra és a vasúti sínekre dőlt fákról. Az SNCF állami vasúttársaság azt közölte, hogy az ország északi részében a vasútvonalakon „több száz incidens” történt. A sínekre borult fák, leszakadt ágak, a szél által a sínekre sodort sátrak és egyéb tárgyak eltakarításán jelenleg is dolgoznak az SNCF munkatársai. A közlemény szerint a szuperexpresszek (TGV-k) ugyanakkor menetrend szerint közlekednek.
A Párizs körüli Ile-de-France régióban viszont a teljes vasúti hálózaton fennakadások voltak a főváros irányába. Emiatt a Párizsba igyekvők egy jelentős része gépkocsiba ült, s a közutakon több mint ezer kilométernyi útszakaszon dugó alakult ki Párizs körül.
Az Aurore szélvihar északi irányból csapott le Franciaországra szerda délután, és az éjszaka folyamán fokozatosan haladt keleti irányba, egyes helyeken óránként több mint 100 kilométeres sebességű széllökésekkel. Az Atlanti-óceán partján, Fécamp városában óránként 175 kilométeres, Párizsban óránként 109 kilométeres sebességű széllökéseket mért a francia meteorológiai intézet az éjszaka folyamán.
A Météo France arra figyelmeztetett, hogy csütörtök délután az ország keleti részében akár óránként 170 kilométeres sebességű széllökésekre is számítani lehet, mégpedig a Vogézekben.

Július 15-e igazi apokalipszissé vált a Rendkívüli Helyzetek Állami Szolgálata (DSZNSZ) számára, hiszen a július 16-ra virradó éjszakán dúló vihar jelentős károkat okozott megyeszerte.
A vihar tetőket tépett fel, fákat csavart ki, több házat elöntött a víz, ezenkívül több település is áram nélkül maradt. Az információk szerint Beregszászban, Ilonokújfalun, Bátyúban, Kígyóson, Királyházán, Tiszaújlakon és Nyíresújfalun összesen 11 fa dőlt ki. Hasonló esetekről érkezett bejelentés Felsődomonyáról, Csongorról, Herincséről, Bilkéről, Királymezőről és Szolyváról is.
Ezenkívül 11 kárpátaljai településen teljes áramkimaradás van, 19 településen pedig részleges. A probléma a Rahói, Beregszászi és Huszti járást érinti.
A hatalmas széllökések 35 házról tépték le a tetőt Bátyúban és Nyíresújfalun. A károk felmérése még folyik.

Közel egymillió ember nem jut tiszta és biztonságos ivóvízhez Louisiana államban, mert a téli viharok és a rekordalacsony hőmérséklet súlyos károkat okozott a vízközműhálózatok infrastruktúrájában – közölte csütörtökön John Bel Edwards, az Egyesült Államok déli részén fekvő tagállam kormányzója.
Sajtótájékoztatóján a demokrata politikus elmondta, hogy akiknek még zavartalan a vízellátása, azoknak is azt tanácsolják, hogy fertőtlenítés céljából forralják fel a vizet, mielőtt elfogyasztanák.
A legnagyobb problémát az államnak azokról a nyugati és északi területeiről jelentették, ahol fél éve hurrikán pusztított. A louisianai nemzeti gárda tagjai is részt vesznek a károk helyreállításában, és vizet szállítanak az állam különböző területeire. A hó, a jég és a rekordalacsony hőmérséklet – amely csütörtök este ismét süllyedni kezdett – mintegy 125 ezer louisianai lakost hagyott áram nélkül, de az ismétlődő áramszünetekre szükség volt, hogy megakadályozzák a hálózat katasztrofális összeomlását – mondta a kormányzó. Edwards felszólította az állam lakosságát, hogy próbáljanak spórolni az energiával. „Ha van rá lehetőségük, csak állítsák alacsonyabb hőmérsékletre a termosztátot, és vegyenek fel egy pulóvert” – fogalmazott. Az elmúlt nap folyamán Texasban csaknem kétmillió háztartásban helyreállt az áramellátás – közölte Greg Abbott kormányzó csütörtök délután, bár – mint hozzátette – továbbra is lakosok százezrei vannak áram nélkül. A republikánus politikus elmondta, hogy körülbelül 325 ezer texasi háztartásban még mindig nincs áram, főleg a leszakadt villanyvezetékek miatt. A Rendkívüli Helyzetek Állami Szolgálata (DSZNSZ) közölte, hogy Kárpátalján, Lemberg, Ivano-Frankivszk és Csernyivci megyékben még mindig tartanak az ítéletidő okozta károk likvidálási munkálatai.
A június 23-i késő délutáni adatok a következők:
- Kárpátalján 70 portát és 40 hektár legelőt öntött el a víz. A H–09-es Munkács–Rohatin autóutat szintén elmosta a víz a rahói járási Barnabásnál, Tiszaborkútnál és Bilinnél, valamint Rahónál is.
- Ivano-Frankivszk 13 járásában 866 portát, 604 családi házat, 210 kertet és 36 hidat öntött el a víz, továbbbá az áradás 15340 kilométernyi útszakaszt mosott el, kilenc földcsuszamlást vettek nyilvántartásba, s 280 méteren ment tönkre a folyóparti védőtöltés. A megyében 29 település maradt közlekedés nélkül. Az egyik helyszínre a DSZNSZ helikoptere szállított élelmiszert.
- Csernyivci megyében Vizsnyicán a Cseremos folyó elmosta a védőtöltést, Roztokánál pedig az útszakasz egy részét. A DSZNSZ csapatai minden erejükkel azon vannak, hogy megoldják a problémát.
- Lemberg megyében 100 lakóházat és 105 gazdasági épületet öntött el a víz. A likvidálási munkálatok itt is folynak.

A cseh–lengyel határon elterülő Óriás-hegység (Krkonose) Snezka nevű csúcsán az orkán erejű szél sebessége vasárnap este elérte az óránkénti 223 kilométer, ami új rekordot jelent – közölte a Cseh Hidrometeorológiai Intézet a Facebook-oldalán. Az eddigi rekordot 2007-ben mérték, óránkénti 216 kilométeres szélsebességet.
Hétfő reggel országszerte mintegy 40 ezer háztartás volt áram nélkül, elsősorban Közép-Csehországban és Dél-Morvaországban. Mivel reggelre a szélvihar szinte mindenütt elcsendesedett, a legnagyobb áramszolgáltató (CEZ) szerint remény van arra, hogy a megrongált vezetékeket a nap folyamán mindenütt helyreállítják.
A vihar fennakadásokat okozott a közlekedésben, különösen a vasúton. A megrongált vezetékek és a sínekre dőlt fák miatt vasárnap este Nyugat-Csehországban mintegy húsz regionális vonalon megszakadt a vasúti összeköttetés. A hétfő reggeli órákban országszerte több mint kéttucatnyi vonalon jeleztek problémákat. A vonatokat általában buszokkal helyettesítették.
A rendőrség szerint az utóbbi órákban az átlagosnál több közúti baleset is történt, de senki se halt meg. Karlovy Vary közelében egy parkoló, gyerekekkel teli autóbuszra dőlt egy fa, de csak könnyebb sérüléseket okozott.
