Egy férfi egyházi könyveket gyújtott fel Csernyivci 180 éves zsinagógájában, a rendőrség gyorsan őrizetbe vette az elkövetőt, aki már korábban is megpróbálta felgyújtani egy templomot – számolt be az rbc.ua hírportál az Ukrajnai Egyesült Zsidó Közösség hivatalos Telegram-csatornáján megjelent közleményre hivatkozva.
A jelentés szerint Csernyivci külvárosában, Szadhirban egy ismeretlen férfi betört a történelmi haszid zsinagógába, és felgyújtotta az egyházi könyveket. A rendőrök gyorsan a helyszínre érkeztek, és őrizetbe vették az elkövetőt.
A rendőrség szerint körülbelül egy hónappal ezelőtt ugyanez a férfi megpróbált felgyújtani egy helyi templomot. Korábban is mutatkoztak nála a mentális labilitás tünetei. A nyomozók jelenleg a kár mértékét és az incidens jellegét vizsgálják.

A jelentés szerint Ukrajna főrabbija, Moshe Azman felvételeket mutatott be a dróncsapás következményeiről, megjegyezve, hogy a támadás egy olyan hely közelében történt, ahol az emberek általában imára szoktak összegyűlni.
Csütörtökre virradóra többször is légiriadót rendeltek el Kijevben és a megyében. A megszállók először drónokkal támadták a fővárost. A Podol kerületben egy drón repeszdarabjai hullottak egy lakóház tetejére. Egy másik helyen repeszdarabok hullottak egy lakóépület közelébe.

Ismeretlen fiatalok csoportja bántalmazott egy zsidó férfit szombaton Kijev Obolony kerületében egy zsinagógánál, miközben antiszemita jelszavakat skandált, náci karlendítést végzett és könnygázzal fújta le a sértettet, az ügyben a kijevi rendőrség már nyomoz – számolt be vasárnap az rbc.ua hírportál a rendőrségre és az Obolony kerületi zsidó közösségre hivatkozva.
A jelentés szerint ismeretlen fiatalok csoportja antiszemita támadást követett el az Obolony kerületi zsinagógánál a helyi zsidó közösség egyik tagja ellen. A rendőrség a közösségi médiából értesültek az esetről. Előzetes információk szerint egy csoport fiú a zsinagóga épülete közelében: antiszemita jelszavakat kiabált, náci karlendítést mutatott be, majd később könnygázzal fújta le a helyi zsidó közösség tagját.
Az Obolony kerületi zsidó közösség képviselőinek beszámolója szerint az incidens szombat délután 3 óra körül történt a sabbat ünneplése alatt. Egy férfi, aki elhagyta a zsinagógát, hogy megdorgálja a támadókat, súlyos égési sérüléseket szenvedett a szemén és a bőrén.
A zsidó közösség megjegyezte, hogy a támadás nem véletlen, hanem előre megtervezett volt, mivel egy nappal korábban ugyanazok a fiatalok már megjelentek a zsinagóga közelében, sértő jelszavakat kiabáltak és náci karlendítést mutattak be.
A rendőrség nyomozást folytat, megállapítja az eset minden körülményét és azonosítja a támadásban részt vevő személyeket. Az incidens jogi minősítésének kérdése is folyamatban van.

A manchesteri zsinagóga elleni támadással gyanúsított Dzsihád al-Shami szexuális zaklatás miatt állt nyomozás alatt, számolt be a Guardian forrásokra hivatkozva.
A források szerint a 35 éves al-Shami az idei év elején szexuális zaklatással kapcsolatos ügyben is érintett volt, amely során óvadék ellenében szabadlábra helyezték. Korábban is elítélték már, bár kevésbé súlyos bűncselekményekért, és nem került sem a terrorelhárító szolgálat, sem az MI5 látókörébe.
A források azt is elmondták, hogy a terrorelhárító rendőrség azt vizsgálja, hogy al-Shami megfenyegette-e John Howell volt konzervatív képviselőt.
2012-ben a politikus levelet kapott egy magát „Dzsihád Al-Shami”-nak nevező férfitól. A levélben az állt, hogy „az olyan emberek, mint [Howell], megérdemlik a halált”. Abban az időben a sajtó azt feltételezte, hogy Howellt Izrael iránti támogatása miatt üldözik. Később azonban arról számoltak be, hogy Faraj al-Shami sebész a Facebook-oldalán támogatta az október 7-i Izrael elleni terrortámadást. Azt állította, hogy a támadást „Isten emberei a Földön” követték el, és hogy ez „csoda, bármilyen mércével is mérjük”.
Ezenkívül a Guardian forrásai azt állítják, hogy a rendőrség adatai szerint a zsinagóga fegyveres őrei véletlenül lőhették le az egyik áldozatot, és valószínűleg megsebesítettek egy másik személyt, amikor tüzet nyitottak a támadóra.

Gyújtogatás történt péntek hajnalban egy melbourne-i zsinagógában, a tűzben egy ember megsérült, és jelentős anyagi kár keletkezett – közölték a hatóságok. Az ausztrál rendőrség két gyanúsítottat köröz az ügyben.
Az eset Victoria állam székhelyének déli részén, a Ripponlea kerületben található, holokauszt-túlélők által az 1960-as években felépített Adass Israel zsinagógában történt.
A rendőrség közlése szerint a gyanúsítottak maszkot viseltek.
Anthony Albanese miniszterelnök elítélte a támadást, és kijelentette, hogy Ausztráliában nincs helye az antiszemitizmusnak.
„Ez az erőszak, a megfélemlítés és a rombolás egy imahelyen felháborító. A támadás emberéleteket sodort veszélybe, és egyértelműen a közösségben való félelemkeltés volt a célja” – hangoztatta.
Victoria állam rendőrsége az közölte, hogy egy hívő, aki a tett idején a zsinagógában volt reggeli imán, látott két embert, akik vélhetően gyúlékony folyadékot öntöttek szét az épületben, mielőtt meggyújtották azt. „Úgy gondoljuk, hogy ez szándékos gyújtogatás volt. A motivációt egyelőre nem ismerjük” – mondta Chris Murray nyomozó újságíróknak.
Benjamin Klein, az Adass Israel zsinagóga igazgatótanácsának tagja az ABC helyi műsorszolgáltatónak arról számolt be, hogy a zsinagógában tartózkodó néhány ember a tűz fellobbanása után kirohant a hátsó ajtón. Egyikük égési sérüléseket szenvedett.
A tűzhöz több tucatnyi tűzoltóegység vonult ki.
Tévéfelvételeken lehetett látni, amint a gyülekezet tagjai mentik az épületből a Tóra-tekercseket és az imakendőket.

Lelőttek a rendőrök az észak-franciaországi Rouen városban pénteken reggel egy késsel és fémrúddal felfegyverkezett férfit, aki fel akarta gyújtani a helyi zsinagógát.
A rendőrséget azért riasztották, mert szemtanúk füstött láttak felszállni a normandiai város történelmi központjában lévő zsinagógából. A helyszínre érkezve a rendőrök szembesültek a gyújtogatóval, aki kezében a késsel fenyegetően közeledett egyikük felé, ezért az egyenruhás lelőtte – közölte az ügyészség.
Gérald Darmanin belügyminiszter az X-en gratulált a rendőröknek a reakciókészségükhöz és bátorságukhoz, amellyel „semlegesítettek egy fegyveres, egyértelműen a zsinagógát felgyújtani akaró egyént”.
A merénylő kilétéről egyelőre semmit sem tudni.

Egy rendőrrel és két hívővel végzett Tunéziában egy fegyveres támadó Dzserba szigetének zsinagógája előtt – közölte szerdára virradóra az észak-afrikai ország belügyminisztériuma.
A tárca közleménye szerint a támadóval végeztek.
Úgy tudni, a biztonsági erők egyik tagja először megölte kollégáját, majd válogatás nélkül lövöldözni kezdett az imaház előtt. A támadót végül a biztonságiak lőtték le.
A halottakon kívül négy hívő és hat biztonsági őr megsebesült.
Nem sokkal korábban szemtanúk és a Mosaique FM rádió számolt be lövésekről a tunéziai partok közelében található szigeten, amelyen Afrika egyik legrégibb zsinagógája található.
Izraeli sajtójelentések szerint mintegy ezren tartózkodtak az imaházban a támadás idején.
A napokban zajlik az évente megrendezett el-greibai zarándoklat, amely a többségében Dzserbában élő, 1800, zsidó vallású tunéziai egyik legfontosabb hagyománya. A helybélieken kívül Izraelből és Európából is zsidók százai látogatnak a szigetre.
Az eseményt szoros biztonsági intézkedések mellett tartják, tekintettel arra, hogy az al-Kaida nemzetközi terrorhálózat szélsőségesei 2002-ben merényletet követtek el a zsinagóga ellen egy robbanószerrel megpakolt teherautóval. A terrortámadásban 21 külföldi turista vesztette életét.

Lelőtték a rendőrök azt a fegyveres férfit, aki szombaton túszokat ejtett a Texas állambeli Colleyville zsinagógájában – közölték helyi hivatalos források.
A férfi négy embert, köztük a rabbit ejtette túszul a zsinagógában, egyikőjüket több mint hat óra után szabadon engedte. A többi túszt órákkal később szabadította ki az FBI különleges egysége, sajtóforrások az akciót kísérő fegyverropogásról és vélhetően villanógránátok okozta robbanásokról számoltak be.
Greg Abbott texasi kormányzó Twitteren arról tájékoztatott, hogy a kiszabadult túszok jól vannak.
A tettes helyi idő szerint szombat délelőtt hatolt be a zsinagógába, ahonnan online élőben közvetítették a szertartást. A férfi a túszok elengedéséért cserébe egy Aisha Siddiqui nevű pakisztáni származású nő szabadon bocsátását követelte. Siddiquit 2010-ben egy amerikai bíróság 86 év börtönbüntetésre ítélte, amiért Afganisztánban amerikai katonákat és FBI-ügynököket próbált megölni, és egy Colleyville-hez közeli szövetségi börtönben tölti büntetését. Egyes sajtóforrások szerint a túszejtő Siddiqui testvére volt.
A hatóságok mindössze azt közölték, kiderítették a férfi személyazonosságát, ám azt egyelőre nem fedték fel a sajtó előtt. Matt De Sarno FBI-ügynök újságíróknak azt mondta, semmi nem utal arra, hogy a férfi szándékosan a helyi zsidó közösség ellen készült volna támadásra, és úgy vélte, további fenyegetés veszélye nem áll fenn. A nyomozás nagy erőkkel folyik.

A közlés szerint a főváros Pecserszk kerületi Brodszkij Choral Zsinagógájában megtartott túszszabadítási művelettel az SZBU Alfa különleges egysége az ágazatközi együttműködési készséget gyakorolta. A gyakorlat legendája szerint a fővárosi zsinagógában „terroristák” túszul ejtették Izrael kijevi nagykövetét és a zsidó híveket. A szabadítási akcióban az SZBU speciális alakulat mellett részt vettek a Nemzeti Rendőrség, a Nemzeti Gárda és a Rendkívüli Helyzetek Állami Szolgálatának egységei és más hatóságok munkatársai.
Az SZBU Terrorellenes Központja törzsének vezetői nagyra értékelték Kijev terrorellenes szolgálatainak az együttműködési szintjét és hatékonyságát. Az izraeli partnerek köszönetet mondtak a terrorellenes gyakorlat résztvevőinek az együttműködésért a biztonsági kérdésekben.

Ismeretlen elkövető még május 1-jén belőtt a Poltava megyei Kremencsuk zsinagógájának az ablakán, amelynek az üvegét átlyukasztotta a lövedék, de visszatartották az információt az esetről, tartva attól, hogy pánik tör ki a helyi zsidó közösségben – adta hírül hétfőn a JewishNews ukrán zsidó hírportál.
A jelentés szerint a kremencsuki zsidó közösség az Ukrajnai Egyesült Zsidó Közösséggel együtt azért döntött a zsinagóga elleni támadásról szóló hír nyilvánosságra hozásáról, mert elavultság miatt szükségessé vált a zsinagóga térfigyelő kamerarendszerének a cseréje. Mivel a keremencsuki zsinagóga igen nagy, a helyi zsidó közösség nem tudja önerőből finanszírozni a térfigyelő rendszer korszerűsítését, ezért adakozásra kér mindenkit, akinek nem közömbös a zsinagóga sorsa. A pénzadományok fogadására a helyi zsidók speciális internetes oldalt nyitottak.
A zsinagógát ért incidens tényének nyilvánosságra hozatalával a kremencsuki zsidók sürgetni szeretnék az antiszemitizmus elleni 5109. sz. törvénytervezet elfogadását, amelynek hatályba lépése esetén szigorúbb felelősségre lehetne vonni a hasonló cselekmények elkövetőit. A jogszabálytervezet szövegét a Legfelső Tanács két szakbizottsága már jóváhagyta.
