26 липня в міжнародному аеропорту Денвера довелося евакуювати пасажирів одного з рейсів American Airlines, пише BBC.
На відео, яке поширюється в соціальних мережах, видно, що під літаком загорілося полум’я й пасажири були змушені покинути борт, використовуючи аварійні трапи.
За повідомленням Міжнародного аеропорту Денвера, у четвер 12 осіб з легкими травмами були доставлені до лікарні.
Літак Boeing 737-800 авіакомпанії American Airlines, що прямував з Колорадо-Спрінгс до міжнародного аеропорту Форт-Ворт у Далласі, відхилився від запланованого маршруту й безпечно приземлився в міжнародному аеропорту Денвера о 17:15. Це сталося після того, як екіпаж відчув вібрацію одного з двигунів. Згодом, коли після приземлення літак під’їхав до воріт, двигун загорівся, повідомило Федеральне управління цивільної авіації (FAA). Пасажири покинули борт за допомогою аварійного трапу, 12 з них були госпіталізовані з незначними травмами. На відео та фотографіях, опублікованих у соціальних мережах, видно, що люди стоять на крилі літака, з якого йде дим.
На борту перебували 172 пасажири та шестеро членів екіпажу. Авіакомпанія подякувала екіпажу, працівникам аеропорту й рятувальникам за швидкі та рішучі дії, завдяки яким удалося врятувати всіх. До вечора пожежники загасити палаючий літак, повідомив представник аеропорту й додав, що підприємство працює у звичному режимі.
