Franciaországban hét család indított pert a TikTok közösségi hálózat ellen, azzal vádolva a platformot, hogy tinédzser gyermekeiket olyan ártalmas tartalomnak tette ki, ami miatt ketten közülük 15 éves korukban öngyilkosságot követtek el – számolt be a Reuters ügynökség az indítványra és az ügyvéd információira hivatkozva, írta a Jevropejszka Pravda.
A felperesek azt állítják, hogy a TikTok algoritmusa hét tinédzsernek olyan videót jelenített meg, amelyekben öngyilkosságot, önkárosító és étkezési zavarokat népszerűsítenek.
A családok közös keresetet nyújtottak be Créteil városi bíróságán. Laura Boutron-Marmion ügyvéd elmondta, hogy ez az első ilyen közös ügy Európában.
„A szülők azt akarják, hogy a TikTok jogi felelősségét elismerjék a bíróságon. Ez egy kereskedelmi cég, amely terméket kínál kiskorú fogyasztóknak. Ezért nekik kell felelniük a termékhibákért”, hangsúlyozta a jogvédő.
