За свідченнями очевидців, бойовики Талібану, перевіряючи будинки, ідентифікували салони краси, а потім знищували або конфісковували їхнє обладнання.
„Ці дії завдали великого удару по економічному життю жінок, які працювали в цій сфері”, – йдеться в повідомленні.
За оцінками, до цього рішення в перукарнях працювало близько 60 тисяч жінок, багато з яких були основними годувальницями своїх сімей.
Критики розцінюють цей крок як частину політики Талібану, спрямованої на поступове витіснення жінок з усіх сфер суспільного та економічного життя.

Видання повідомляє, що вперше за кілька місяців жінки вийшли на мітинг у столиці Афганістану, вони вимагали відновлення їхніх прав, які вони отримали за попереднього уряду.
Група з близько 40 жінок скандувала такі гасла, як „їжа, робота і свобода”. Жінки згадували про кризу голоду, яка охопила Афганістан після того, як Талібан захопив контроль у серпні минулого року, а також обмеження прав жінок на роботу, освіту та пересування.
Загалом жіноча акція тривала вже другий день і проходила переважно мирно. Однак, коли жінки рушили до президентського палацу, то дорогу їм перегородили кілька десятків талібів. Вони стріляли в повітря й застосували сльозогінний газ проти учасниць акції.

Унаслідок кількох нападів терористичного угруповання «Талібан» в афганській провінції Кундуз у ніч на понеділок загинуло як мінімум 13 співробітників сил безпеки, ще 10 зазнали поранень, повідомив радник провінції Сафіулаху Аміра.
Повстанці атакували пункти пропуску в районі Казак та Сінварі рано вранці. Під час запеклих боїв загинули також 15 бойовиків-талібів, повідомляє прессекретар провінції Мурмаді.
За його словами, урядові сили продовжать заходи з підтримки безпеки в Кундузі.
Нещодавно екстремістські угруповання активізували свою діяльність у цьому районі. Згідно з місцевими повідомленнями, вони готуються до нападу на місто Кундуз. Таліби поки що не взяли на себе відповідальність за скоєні напади.
Афганське телебачення Tolo News повідомило в понеділок, що таліби захопили близько тисячі нафтоперевізних вантажівок у провінції Баглан на північному сході Афганістану й вимагають викуп у розмірі 390 доларів за кожну з них. Водії звернулися за допомогою до афганського уряду.
