За повідомленням місцевої прокуратури, внаслідок інциденту чотири жінки і троє чоловіків у віці від 28 до 62 років отримали поранення. У трьох з них – серйозні опіки.
Рятувальники, які прибули на місце падіння, швидко загасили пожежу. Постраждалих доставили до лікарні службою швидкої допомоги та приватними особами.

Двоє іспанських туристів загинули, ще троє отримали поранення внаслідок невдалого приземлення повітряної кулі у Каппадокії у турецькій провінції Невшехір. Про це повідомляє губернаторство провінції.
„Повітряна куля з реєстраційним номером TC-BBR, яка належить приватній компанії та вилетіла з руїн Зельве у районі Аванос нашої провінції о 07.25 сьогодні вранці, здійснила жорстку посадку о 08.50 у районі Кіллік міста Кавак через несподіване посилення вітру… Внаслідок інциденту загинуло двоє туристів з Іспанії, три іспанські туристи травмувалися”, – йдеться у повідомленні.
Повідомляється, що на момент аварії у кошику повітряної кулі було 28 туристів та два члени екіпажу. Травмовані туристи були доставлені у лікарні, їхній стан не становить загрози їхньому життю.

Збирач кедрових горіхів на прізвище Ху із китайської провінції Хейлунцзян промандрував 300 км на повітряній кулі, наповненій воднем. Під час роботи на одній із крон він втратив контроль і його знесло вітром.

Традиційно китайці одягали черевики із шипами на підошвах і видиралися у крони кедрів, які можуть виростати до 20 м. Іноді збирачі горіхів зривалися і розбивалися насмерть. Останніми роками китайці почали використовували повітряні кулі, надуті воднем або гелієм, щоб піднятися до крони.
У неділю вересня Ху і ще один китаєць працювали на надутій воднем повітряній кулі. Коли її почало зносити вітром, один із них зістрибнув, а Ху не наважився.
У вівторок його вдалося знайти за сигналом мобільного. До пошукової операції залучили 500 поліцейських та пожежників. Чоловіка знайшли, коли помітили повітряну кулю, яка застрягла на дереві.
Ху сказав, що він уже майже втратив надію. Від перебування в лісі дуже замерз і зголоднів. Однак, йому вдалося уникнути травм – має лише невеликі забої на боках після спуску з дерева.

У суботу, 26 червня, у Нью-Мексико повітряна куля врізалася в лінію електропередач і спричинила смерть п’яти людей.
У західній частині найбільшого міста Нью-Мексико, Альбукерке, унаслідок зіткнення повітряної кулі з електричним проводом загинуло п’ятеро її пасажирів. Інцидент, через який 13 тисяч людей залишилися без електропостачання, стався близько 7-ї години ранку.
Кошик, що від’єднався від повітряної кулі, упав з висоти 30 метрів посеред дороги й загорівся, а верхня частина аеростата приземлилася на дах житлового будинку, повідомив NBC News.
Влада заявила, що внаслідок аварії чотири жертви загинули на місці події, а п’ятий пасажир помер у лікарні. За даними Федерального управління повітряного руху, до ліній електропередач повітряну кулю міг принести сильний вітер, адже керувати аеростатом дуже непросто, для цього потрібен значний досвід.
Один із очевидців, Джошуа Перес, знаходився неподалік, тож, коли помітив аварію, негайно поспішив на місце події ще з одним чоловіком і допоміг перекрити бак з пропаном. Джошуа повідомив KOB4 News, що люди в кошику не рухаються.
Найбільша смертельна аварія за участю повітряної кулі в США сталася в Техасі 2016 року, тоді загинуло 16 людей.
