43-річний Стівен Гастелум жив у Сісайді, штат Орегон. Зі своїм другом він вирушив у похід Західним державним парком Освальда до Котла диявола (Devil’s Cauldron), що проходить уздовж північно-західного кордону штату.
Чоловік хотів сфотографуватися на фоні океану. Тож виліз на дерево на краю скелі, щоб позувати для селфі, але гілка зламалася, і він упав у воду з великої висоти.
Біля дерева були захисні перила, які огороджували край прірви. Однак, як повідомила поліція, чоловік знаходився за ними, коли стався інцидент, передає NBC News.
Згодом берегова охорона знайшла чоловіка у воді. Його вивезли на берег і доставили до лікарні, але там медики змогли тільки зафіксувати факт смерті.
