Після багатомісячної спеки й посухи на початку серпня в країні почалися сильні зливи, які пошкодили сотні будинків та знищили посіви.
За даними служби з ліквідації наслідків стихійних лих, минулого тижня в північних гірських провінціях Єнбай, Лай Чау, Сон Ла і Тхай Нгуєн загинуло 8 осіб, серед яких щонайменше двоє дітей.
В’єтнамські державні ЗМІ опублікували фотографії зруйнованих будинків і доріг, заблокованих землею та поваленими деревами.

Митні органи міста Хайфон виявили вантаж зі слонової кістки, захований у контейнері, який був задекларований на митниці як такий, що перевозить арахіс, йдеться в заяві уряду. Зазначається, що вантаж проходив транзитом через Сінгапур.

Інцидент стався в провінції Нгеан в початковій школі Нам Ань. П’ятикласник використовував свій мобільний на онлайн-уроці через карантин, коли той раптово вибухнув – на хлопчику загорівся одяг.

Влада мобілізує військових для пошуків зниклих та жертв стихійного лиха.
Як пише MTI, віцепрем’єр-міністр Трінь Дін Дунг повідомив, що дороги, які ведуть до місця зсувів, покриті товстим шаром бруду. Високопосадовець звернув увагу на той факт, що, хоча можна передбачити маршрут шторму та скільки опадів він принесе, де саме з’являться зсуви спрогнозувати неможливо.
Влада країни каже, що «Молаве» – найсильніший шторм за останні два десятиліття. Тайфун супроводжується поривами вітру швидкістю 135 км/год., які з корінням виривають дерева. Шторм зірвав дахи понад 88 тисяч будівель.
Два рибальські човни затонули в ніч на вівторок, зникли безвісти 26 рибалок.
У провінціях центральної частини країни сильні зливи можуть тривати до неділі, крім того, у регіоні очікується випадання 700 мм опадів, що становить надзвичайно високий ризик виникнення подальших повеней та зсувів. Через потужну зливу були затоплені цілі селища, пошкоджені лінії електропередач. Сотні будинків зруйновані, тож люди опинилися просто на вулиці.
У центральних провінціях В’єтнаму спостерігаються безпрецедентні повені. Із 6 по 25 жовтня внаслідок повеней та зсувів загинуло щонайменше 130 людей.

У центральній частині В’єтнаму щонайменше 30 людей опинилися в пастці через зсуви. З вівторка в цьому районі випала значна кількість опадів, які затопили щонайменше 150 тисяч будинків та 244 школи. Погода не зміниться в найближчі дні, адже в середу вранці тропічний шторм під назвою Nangka досяг країни Південно-Східної Азії.
Тим часом Національний комітет із надзвичайних ситуацій Камбоджі повідомив, що від негоди протягом останніх двох тижнів загинули щонайменше 11 осіб, понад 30 тисяч будинків пішли під воду, а понад 10 тисяч людей довелося евакуювати. Від повені постраждали 140 тисяч осіб у 19 із 25 провінцій країни, розповів речник Національного комітету з надзвичайних ситуацій Камбоджі.

Комітет повідомляє, що складні погодні умови торкнулися провінцій Туа Тхіен Хуе, Куанг Нам, Куанг Бін, Куанг Трі та Куанг Нгай.
До вечора неділі з цих територій евакуювали 45 800 людей. Вода затопила понад 109 тисяч будинків, кілька сотень обвалились або були серйозно пошкоджені.
Майже 4000 га орної землі підтоплені, а десятки тисяч голів худоби загинули.
За останні тижні в деяких районах країни випало понад 1500 міліметрів дощу. З початку січня до кінця вересня під час стихійних лих уже загинули або зникли 93 людини, ще 272 постраждали.
Урагани, повені, зсуви та дощі завдали шкоди сільському господарству приблизно на 5000 мільярдів донгів (понад 6,5 мільярда гривень).
