Повідомляється, що загинув 20-річний моряк з Одеси. Це був його другий рейс.
За інформацією порталу, інші члени екіпажу знаходяться на аварійному судні. Надзвичайна подія сталася 25 червня, з того моменту екіпаж без зв’язку.

Згідно з повідомленням туніського офіційного інформаційного агентства TAP, корабель затонув біля узбережжя міста Луата в східній туніській провінції Туніс, за місцевим часом у неділю. Із 11 загиблих, піднятих на поверхню, вісім жінок, а троє – діти, – повідомило інсайдерське джерело. Також повідомляється, що Берегова охорона Тунісу врятувала сімох людей.
Рятувальні роботи продовжилися в понеділок, із надією знайти тих, хто вижив після інциденту. У червні корабель, повний біженців, також затонув у Сфаксі, внаслідок чого загинуло щонайменше 60 людей.
Туніське узбережжя є однією з вихідних точок для тисяч нелегальних іммігрантів, у тому числі туніських, які прагнуть потрапити до Європи.
