A helyszínre a Nagybereznai 8-as számú állami tűzoltó- és mentőegység szakemberei érkeztek. 8 percre volt szükségük a tűz eloltásához, melynek gócpontja a motortérben volt.
Az eset során senki sem sérült meg. A tűz okát és az okozott károkat az illetékes szolgálatok vizsgálják.

A férfi ellen rablás és öt tadzsik állampolgár, köztük két kiskorú gyermek illegális fogva tartása miatt emeltek vádat.
Az ügyész a bíróság előtt bizonyította, hogy a férfi egy csoport tagjaként támadást tervezett és hajtott végre egy idegenekből álló csoport ellen, akik turisztikai céllal utaztak Kárpátaljára. A támadók célja az volt, hogy megszerezzék a turisták készpénzét.
A vádlott ungvári és kijevi személyekkel működött együtt. Az elkövetők között volt egy taxisofőr is, aki a csoportot Lembergből szállította Kárpátaljára. Miután a turistákat Nagybereznára szállította, a férfi elővett egy pisztolyt és elkezdte fenyegetni az idegeneket, utasítva őket, hogy hajtsák végre minden parancsát.
Ezt követően a bűnözők elvették a sértettek pénzét, összesen mintegy 7 000 dollár értékben, valamint mobiltelefonjaikat és egyéb személyes tárgyaikat is. Ezt követően a csoportot a gyermekekkel együtt bezárta egy pincébe, ahol három napig tartották őket fogva.
Az egyik tadzsik állampolgárnak sikerült megszöknie, ekkor értesítette a hatóságokat a történtekről.
A hírt a megyei ügyészség sajtószolgálata közölte.

A tűz oltását nehezítette a ház padlásán lévő nagy mennyiségű széna és egyéb gyúlékony anyagok, valamint a nehézkes hozzáférés a helyszínhez a tűzoltó járművek számára. A tűz az istálló tetőrészén keletkezett, ahol szénát tároltak. A gazdák otthon tartózkodtak, amint meglátták a füstöt, azonnal értesítették a tűzoltóságot és megkezdték az állatok kimenekítését.
A helyszínre kiérkezett a tűzoltóság, akiknek több órába telt a lángok teljes megfékezése. A tűz teljesen megsemmisítette a tetőrészt és az ott tárolt másfél tonna szénát. Okát és a károk pontos értékét még vizsgálják.
