Уряд Великої Британії вирішив звільнити достроково деяких засуджених. Таке рішення прийняли через переповнені в’язниці.
„Британський уряд ініціював надзвичайні заходи, щоб достроково звільнити деяких засуджених із в’язниць, щоб запобігти їхній переповненості”, — повідомили в британському уряді.
Повідомляється, що за останні 30 років кількість ув’язнених в Англії та Уельсі подвоїлася. Минулого літа в Англії та Уельсі вона сягнула рекордного рівня — 88 225 осіб. Причиною стали довготривалі кримінальні вироки та більш жорсткий підхід до покарання за насильницькі злочини та злочини, пов’язані з наркотиками.

До списку країн, де у в’язницях утримується найбільше журналістів, цього року ввійшов і Ізраїль. Директорка CPJ Джоді Гінзберг зазначила, що його присутність у списку є «доказом того, що така основна демократична норма, як свобода преси, зникає в країні, оскільки Ізраїль використовує драконівські методи, щоб змусити замовкнути палестинських журналістів».

За доводами прокурора Виноградівського відділу Берегівської окружної прокуратури місцевого жителя засуджено до 3 років 1 місяця позбавлення волі за злочин у сфері незаконного обігу психотропних речовин (ч. 2 ст. 309 КК України).
У судовому засіданні прокурор Ярослав Бігорі довів, що виноградівець у квітні цього року придбав та зберігав для власного вживання особливо небезпечний психотроп – PVP – у великих розмірах. Замовив «товар» через мережу Інтернет і, намагаючись приховати причетність до злочину, оформив посилку на ім’я свого сусіда. Чоловік вже судимий раніше за аналогічне правопорушення. У липні 2021 року його засудили до позбавлення волі зі встановленням іспитового строку на рік. Саме в цей період обвинувачений і вчинив новий злочин.
У суді він свою вину у скоєному не визнав. Спочатку розповідав, що замовляв звичайні свічки, а чому в пакунку був психотроп – не розуміє. Згодом намагався запевнити, що на одному з інтернет-сайтів отримав сповіщення про виграш призу, тож ввів дані для його одержання. Суд прийшов до висновку, що такими суперечливими показами обвинувачений лише намагається уникнути кримінальної відповідальності, тож не взяв їх до уваги.
Наразі вступ вироку в законну силу очікується.
Примітка: вирок суду першої інстанції набирає законної сили після закінчення строку подання апеляційної скарги, встановленого КПК України, якщо таку скаргу не було подано. У разі подання апеляційної скарги судове рішення, якщо його не скасовано, набирає законної сили після ухвалення рішення судом апеляційної інстанції (ст. 532 КПК України).
