З’явилися повідомлення про будинки та автомобілі, сильно пошкоджені стихією.
Поліція закликала жителів уникати міста Лейтрім, яке стало епіцентром шторму. За словами правоохоронців, повідомлень про серйозні поранення не було.

У Римі загинула 81-річна жінка, на яку впало дерево, ще одна жінка зазнала травм.
За повідомленнями місцевих ЗМІ, у суботу в Італії несподівано настала «зима». Сніг випав у Центральних і Південних Апеннінах на висоті понад 700 метрів над рівнем моря. У кількох регіонах температура знизилася до 10–12°С.

Внаслідок шторму „Сіаран” у Західній Європі загинули щонайменше 12 осіб, серед яких – п’ятирічний хлопчик з України.
Як пише „Європейська правда”, про це BBC Україна підтвердили у пресслужбі українського Міністерства закордонних справ.
„Можемо підтвердити загибель українського хлопчика в (бельгійському) Генті внаслідок нещасного випадку. Співчуваємо батькам. Наше посольство в Бельгії на зв‘язку із поліцією та соціальними службами, а також рідними”, – заявили у відомстві.
За даними бельгійських ЗМІ, на п’ятирічного хлопчика та ще одну трирічну дитину впали гілки дерев, коли вони перебували на майданчику. Згодом хлопчик помер у лікарні, водночас інша дитина зазнала легких травм.
Ще одною жертвою в Генті стала 64-річна громадянка Німеччини, на яку у парку впало зламане дерево. Разом із нею була дочка, яка отримала перелам ноги.

Щонайменше одна людина загинула та більше мільйона домогосподарств залишилися без електрики у Франції в четвер вранці через шторм „Сіаран”.
Про це, як пише „Європейська правда”, повідомляє France 24.
Північно-західне узбережжя Франції постраждало від негоди, оскільки швидкість вітру досягала 207 км/год.
Постачальник електроенергії Enedis повідомив, що шторм залишив без світла 1,2 мільйона будинків у Франції, 780 тисяч з яких розташовані в Бретані.
Міністр транспорту Клеман Бон повідомив радіо Franceinfo у четвер, що водій вантажівки загинув у департаменті Ена на північний схід від Парижа, коли на його автомобіль впало дерево.
„Це свідчить про те, що навіть у регіонах, де не діє попередження, існує дуже високий ризик на дорозі”, — сказав Бон.
Прогнозують, що в четвер шторм переміститься вглиб країни. Загалом у 31 департаменті Франції оголошено „помаранчевий” рівень тривоги через небезпечну погоду.
У деяких районах уздовж Атлантики очікують на хвилі висотою вісім-десять метрів. У Парижі діє попередження про „сильний вітер”.
До ранку п’ятниці очікують на масові збої в русі транспорту, по всій Франції закриті кілька аеропортів і залізничні лінії.
Шторм має вразити кілька країн Західної Європи. Метеорологічна служба Британії опублікувала попередження про суворі погодні умови та вітер зі швидкістю близько 128 км/год або й більшою в прибережних районах.
Нормандські острови та схід Англії потерпають найбільше, хоча більшу частину півдня та південного сходу також вразить сильніший, ніж зазвичай, вітер та дощ.

За прогнозами синоптиків, тропічний шторм може торкнутися Сальвадору і південної Гватемали у найближчу добу.
Обсерваторія загроз Міністерства навколишнього середовища та природних ресурсів Сальвадору (MARN) попередила про високу ймовірність міських повеней і раптових повеней, а також зсувів, падіння дерев і гілок.
Уряд оголосив найвищий за чотири ступеневою шкалою «червоний» рівень небезпеки та призупинив заняття.
Указ уряду Сальвадору також надає повноваження місцевому управлінню цивільного захисту щодо заходів обов’язкової евакуації населення із „використанням необхідних механізмів примусу з метою захисту права на життя”.

AP повідомляє, що Мексика вже готується до одночасного наступу тропічних штормів „Лідія” і „Макс”, які, за прогнозами, обрушаться на країну в різних частинах країни в понеділок і вівторок.
„Макс” вже посилився до показників тропічного шторму і, як очікується, досягне суші на схід від курортного міста Зіуатанехо в понеділок увечері, при цьому швидкість вітру становитиме близько 90 кілометрів на годину. Тим часом „Лідія” просувається на північ від західного тихоокеанського узбережжя Мексики і, як очікується, досягне суші як ураган на північ від курортного міста Пуерто-Вальярта.
За прогнозами, „Лідія” обрушиться на малонаселену територію, хоча очікується, що швидкість урагану буде сягати 160 км/год і він пройде безпосередньо над центром природничої освіти ВМС на островах Іслас-Маріас.
Оскільки острови в цьому районі майже завжди страждають від негоди і здебільшого є безлюдними, не очікується, що шторм завдасть значних збитків. Проте, як Національний центр ураганів США, так і мексиканська влада попередили, що в результаті двох штормів можуть виникнути зливові паводки.
