Двадцяти двом особам удалося втекти, але злочинці тримають у заручниках ще 20 людей, серед яких жінки та діти.
Ісламістські терористичні угруповання та інші злочинні організації регулярно здійснюють викрадення людей. Нерідко вони викрадають студентів. Ісламісти роблять це з метою змусити полонених дівчат і жінок виходити за них заміж, бути смертницями чи працювати на них. Дітей злочинні організації викрадають із метою отримання викупу.
Цього року в штаті Кадуна озброєні групи здійснили напад вже на чотири баптистські церкви. У липні 2021 року з баптистської школи Бетель викрали 120 дітей, більшість учнів утримувалася в полоні місяцями.

Її очільник Стівен Дюйстейн розповів ЗМІ, що золото та цінні предмети прибули в аеропорт у понеділок увечері, контейнер викрали з вантажного складу. За його словами, поліція вважає цю крадіжку поодиноким випадком. Наразі нікого не затримали.
Адміністрація аеропортів Торонто (GTAA) в короткій заяві повідомила, що злодії проникли на склад ззовні, з-поза меж аеропорту «Пірсон», загрози персоналу та пасажирам не було.

Минулого тижня четверо американців були викрадені з мексиканського прикордонного міста Матаморос. Згідно з інформацією місцевих ЗМІ, зловмисники захопили трьох чоловіків та одну жінку. Про інцидент повідомили і президента США Джо Байдена.
Білий дім не оприлюднив детальнішої інформації про цей випадок, але заявив, що Сполучені Штати нададуть усю необхідну консульську допомогу, щоб якомога швидше знайти жертв.
Правоохоронці Мексики почали розслідування спільно із ФБР. Справу ускладнювало те, що на місці викрадення сталася перестрілка між ворогуючими бандами.

Четверо громадян Сполучених Штатів перетнули кордон 3 березня біля Браунсвілля, штат Техас, у білому мікроавтобусі з номерами Північної Кароліни, але в Матаморосі невідомий нападник відкрив по них вогонь, пише BBC.
Згідно із заявою Федерального бюро розслідувань, усіх чотирьох американців замкнули в автомобілі в супроводі озброєних людей і відвезли з місця події. Імена викрадених не розголошуються.
Інцидент стався в провінції Тамауліпас. Це один із мексиканських регіонів, які Державний департамент США взагалі не рекомендує відвідувати туристам через велику кількість «злочинів і викрадень». На сайті відомства зазначається, що там поширені збройні сутички та вбивства, пов’язані з організованою злочинністю, а також збройні пограбування, викрадення автомобілів і людей, тортури й сексуальне насильство.

З Арбінди, що в північній частині Буркіна-Фасо, були викрадені, ймовірно джихадистами, близько шістдесяти жінок. Про це французькому інформаційному агентству AFP повідомили місцеві лідери та жителів села, яке регулярно зазнає нападів.
Місцеві на правах анонімності повідомили, що перші сорок жінок були викрадені приблизно за десять кілометрів на південний схід від Арбінди, а інша група з двадцяти осіб наступного дня – на північ від поселення.
«Жінки групами вирушили збирати листя та дикі плоди, – розповідає одна з мешканок. – Трьом із них вдалося втекти від викрадачів, вони і розповіли, що сталося».
Місцеве керівництво підтвердило інформацію про викрадення. Вони додали, що військові та цивільні прочесали територію, але слідів викрадених не знайшли.
Арбінда розташована в регіоні Сахель, у зоні, заблокованій угрупованнями джихадистів, де постачання продовольства ускладнене.
Із 2015 року Буркіна-Фасо, особливо північна частина країни, дедалі частіше стає мішенню для груп джихадистів, пов’язаних з Аль-Каїдою та терористичною організацією «Ісламська держава».

Розграбування українських музеїв російськими окупантами стало найбільшим розкраданням предметів мистецтва з часів Другої світової війни. Про це пише The New York Times.
Згідно з даними прокуратури і самих музеїв, в одному тільки Херсоні окупанти вкрали понад 15 тисяч предметів мистецтва та об’єктів історичної спадщини. Загалом росіяни розграбували або повністю знищили понад 30 музеїв у Херсоні, Маріуполі, Мелітополі та інших містах.
Зазначається, що ці цифри стосуються лише задокументованих фактів. На практиці масштаби розкрадань можуть бути набагато більшими. За словами експертів, з якими поспілкувалися журналісти, це наймасштабніше розкрадання предметів мистецтва після Другої світової війни.
Фахівці вважають, що метою грабунку було не тільки отримання матеріальних або історичних цінностей, але й прагнення позбавити Україну її культурної спадщини. Очевидці відзначають, що розграбування музеїв носило організований характер, причому під керівництвом російських фахівців.
Одним їх характерних елементів російського вторгнення в Україну стало системне і повальне мародерство. З перших днів війни зафіксовані численні факти грабежів, які здійснювали російські солдати. Символом цього стала вкрадена пральна машина.
Крім крадіжки майна з приватних будинків, росіяни відзначилися розграбуванням цілих підприємств. Наприклад, на Херсонщині окупанти розграбували історичне шато, яке пережило дві світові війни.
Однак найбезглуздішим проявом російської клептоманії стало викрадення живого єнота з Херсонського зоопарку. Показово, що цим епізодом росіяни, вочевидь, дуже пишаються.

Співробітники відділення поліції у Виноградові розкрили незаконне заволодіння автомобілем «ВАЗ 2107», що сталося в селі Олешник Берегівського району. Транспортний засіб вилучено та буде повернуто власнику. Зловмисника затримали та помістили до ізолятора тимчасового тримання.
Сьогодні, 4 січня, о 00:04 до поліції звернувся 46-річний мешканець села Олешник Берегівського району та повідомив про зникнення його автомобіля «ВАЗ 2107». Чоловік розповів, що припаркував своє авто поблизу будинку, проте через деякий час на тому місці не виявив машини. В бардачку автомобіля також знаходилися особисті цінні речі заявника.
Поліцейські протягом ночі провели ряд заходів та вже до ранку встановили особу, причетну до вчинення злочину. Ним виявився 26-річний місцевий мешканець. Поліцейські також з’ясували, що транспортний засіб він відігнав в гараж до свого знайомого, де мав намір на деякий час сховати автівку.
Слідчі вже вилучили транспортний засіб та найближчим часом повернуть законному власнику.
Зловмисника розшукали та затримали. Відповідно до статті 208 КПК України його помістили до ізолятора тимчасового тримання. За даним фактом в поліції відкрито два кримінальні провадження: за ч. 1 ст. 289 (Незаконне заволодіння транспортним засобом) та ч. 4 ст. 185 (Крадіжка, вчинена в умовах воєнного стану) Кримінального кодексу України.
Слідство у справі триває.
