„F**k the 4th”, azaz „Csessze meg negyedike” jelmondattal indítottak megmozdulást Arizona államban abortuszpárti tüntetők, a legfelsőbb bíróság által jóváhagyott abortuszhatározat további bojkottálásáért, ezzel megsértve az amerikai nemzeti ünnepet. A bírókat korábban ért atrocitások után tovább fajul a helyzet az Egyesült Államokban.
A legfelsőbb bíróság érvénytelenített egy korábban beiktatott törvényt, melynek következtében az államok önállóan rendelkezhetnek az abortuszjogok átírásával. Ennek okán több állam is betiltotta, vagy szigorúan korlátozta a beavatkozást. A társadalomból azonban megosztó visszhangot váltott ki az intézkedést, több államban tüntetésbe kezdtek, illetve előfordult, hogy a bíróság tagjait is zaklatták, otthonaikat megrongálták, atrocitás érte őket.
Július negyedike a mérgező nacionalizmus nap. Egy olyan országban, ahol marginalizált emberek aránytalanul nagy számban vannak bebörtönözve nem lehet szabadságról beszélni, ez nem egy olyan ország amire büszkék lehetünk – így vezették fel a szervezők a Függetlenség Napjára tervezett tüntetést a Facebookon.
Július negyedike jelentőségteljes dátum az amerikaiak számára, melyről minden évben nagy ünnepségekkel és kontinens szerte tűzijátékokkal emlékeznek meg. Ebben az évben a hagyományos ünnepléssel párhuzamosan tüntetéssorozatot indítottak, melynek keretein belül különböző zenei programokkal és pénzadományok gyűjtésével fejezték ki nemtetszésüket az abortusz-ügy kapcsán. Az eseményt F**k the 4th!, azaz Csessze meg negyedike! címmel hirdették meg. A tüntetésre egy helyi demokrata politikus hívta fel a figyelmet közösségi oldalán közzétett posztjában, melyet azonban azóta törölt. Az eseményt, melynek a Tucson Women’s March adott otthont, a Pima Megyei Demokrata Párt népszerűsítette a Twitteren. A bejegyzésben úgy fogalmaztak: „gyászoljuk meg együtt július negyedikét, hozzatok kényelmes cipőt, vizet, székeket, posztereket és a haragotokat”.
A posztot természetesen az arizonai Republikánus Párt elítélte nyilatkozatában, melyben közölték, a demokraták már meg sem próbálják titkolni, hogy a radikálisok pártján állnak. Az esemény neve azóta több közösségi oldalon is egyre jobban terjed.
Vandalizmus miatt nyomoznak több helyszínen
Lakcímeik illegális nyilvánosságra hozatala után a legfelsőbb bíróság tagjainak otthonainál is tüntettek civilek, megsértve ezzel magánéletüket és kárt okozva otthonaikban. Fairfax megyében az egyik bíró otthona előtt több tucatnyian jelentek meg, döntő többségben tinédzserek és fiatal nők. A demonstrációkról több felvétel is készült, melyek elsősorban a fiatalok által leginkább kedvelt közösségi platformon, a TikTokon népszerűek. A helyszíneken elkövetett vandalizmus miatt több esetben nyomoznak a helyi hatóságok. A tüntetők többek között Vermontban is megrongáltak egy állami épületet, több ablakot betörtek, majd festékszóróval provokatív feliratokat hagytak maguk után.
Tüntetések a tüntetések után
Egyre több zavarba ejtő és nyugtalanító fotó jelenik meg a demonstrációkról, melyet több amerikai közéleti személy is elítél. A múlt héten például Ben Shapiro politikai kommentátor, újságíró és műsorvezető posztolt Instagramjára egy fényképet, melyen egy kismama látható, karján kisgyermekével, hasán a „not yet a human” vagyis „még nem ember” felirat olvasható. Egy édesanya úgy nyilatkozott a tüntetések kapcsán:
Mi a helyzet a gyermekem emberi jogával, hogy anélkül sétáljon az utcán, hogy felzaklatják ezek a szörnyű képek?
A felkavaró képekre és feliratokra többen is panaszkodtak. Az Instagram az elmúlt napok során több – az abortuszjogi jogvédő csoport által üzemeltetett – fiók bejegyzéseit vagy történeteit olyan figyelmeztetéssel látta el, amely érzékeny, a fiatalok és a felnőttek számára is felkavaró tartalomnak minősítette a posztokat.
