Fehér cápa végzett egy halásszal Huatabampo városában a Playa Tojahui strand közelében.
A 22 éves Victor Alejandro Soto Garcia fésűkagylót keresett, de amikor lemerült a víz alá, egy nagy fehér cápával találta szemben magát. A közel négyméteres állat megtámadta, és leharapta Garcia lábát. Az eszméletlen férfit társai húzták a partra, de az életét már nem tudták megmenteni.
Sonora államban tavaly mintegy száz cápaűző karkötőt osztottak ki a helyi halászoknak, de a baleset idején Garcia nem viselte a sajátját. A speciális karkötő elektronikus hanghullámai távol tartják a cápákat az emberektől.
Az elmúlt időszakban világszerte megszaporodtak a cápatámadások, legutóbb január 4-én számoltunk be halálos kimenetelű támadásról Hawaii partjainál, december végén pedig egy tinédzserrel végzett a veszélyes állat Ausztrália partjainál.

Az Ian hurrikán csütörtökön érte el Florida partjait, elképesztő pusztítást okozva a városokban. Fort Myersben készült egy videó, ahol egy cápát láttak úszkálni az utcákon kialakult „kis öblökben”.
A 4-es kategóriájú vihar hatalmas erősségű széllel sújtotta a városokat, víz öntötte el a házakat, törmelékek szálltak a levegőben. Egy helyinek egy bizarr jelenetet sikerült megörökítenie: a vízzel elöntött utcákon egy cápa úszkált.
Valahogy Fort Myers környékén kötött ki egy cápa az Ian hurrikán miatt – írta Brad Habuda, aki először osztotta meg a felvételt a Twitteren.
A felvétel hitelességét nem erősítették meg.
Egyes területeken a víz közel két méterig emelkedett – írja a Daily Star. A lakók arról számoltak be, hogy kamerákat állítottak fel a házuk előtt, hogy figyeljék a vihart, ám ezek a kamerák is a víz alá kerültek.
