Az ausztrál baloldali politikus, Gladys Berejiklian élesen bírálta mindazokat, akik ezt elkövették, hiszen ezzel csak megnehezítik az ausztrál egészségügy dolgát, miután a St. Mary’s laborjában végezték a koronavírustesztek nagy százalékát.
A felháborodást az váltotta ki egyes vírustagadó csoportokból, hogy Sydney-ben már kilenc hónapja korlátozott a kijárás, és még így is néha 1200 új eset van naponta.
„Nagyon reméljük, hogy a lakosság 70 százaléka mind a két oltást megkapja október közepéig, és akkor biztosan enyhíteni lehet majd a korlátozásokon. Tisztában vagyunk vele, hogy ez a helyzet nagy terhet jelent a családoknak és minden embernek, de csak így fékezhetjük meg a vírust” – mondta Berejiklian.
